It is said, "Diseases completely seized by mantras cannot harm anyone. Similarly, when seized by skillful means, the three poisons and suffering will not cause harm." Thus it is said. In the chapter on mudras, it is said above, "If one possesses the wealth of skillful means and wisdom, then all that is unmoving and unchanging abides in the state of the Great Seal." And below, "In short, all movement and change also abide in the state of the Great Seal." If one says that this is contradictory, there is no fault, because the former is stated from the perspective of view, and the latter from the perspective of conduct. In the extensive commentary, it says, "The Great Seal of self-nature is such that all outer and inner vessels and contents, the five families of Sugatas, fathers and mothers, abide in the state of the Great Seal." Thus it is said. Generally, the meaning of mudra is that which is difficult to transgress, that which makes beautiful, and that which communicates. For example, it should be understood like the king's seal, a beautiful woman's ring, or a merchant's sleeve badge. It says "Chapter of Pleasing." If the Victorious One has pleasure or displeasure, would that not make him an object of grasping? Although the Victorious One has neither pleasure nor displeasure, there is no contradiction in appearing to be pleased for the sake of trainees completing the two accumulations. Here, when it says "Thus-gone Great Joy," what does it mean? Although the term "joy" or "displeasure" does not apply to the Buddha, it is a name given to enjoyment. Of the four types of joy, common joy is enjoying the pleasure of desire and attachment in the desire realm, the two higher realms are enjoying the joy of meditative absorption, the first ground is enjoying the uncontaminated bliss of seeing the truth, and here it is inconceivable bliss, the joy of enjoying the equality of suchness without acceptance or rejection. It is divided into four chapters, so why does it not occur elsewhere? Because it is the view that realizes the state of the ground essence, the condition for habituation is samadhi, and the fruit manifested by these two. Similarly, it is because the meaning of this tantra is entirely contained within it. First, the reality of the exceptional conventional, third, the distinction of philosophical tenets that establish the correct view that knows it, fourth, the way to represent it with letters and practice it, samadhi, and sixth, the fruit manifested by it.

This explains the accomplishment of the five bodies. Regarding the meaning of using the three poisons as aids to practice, it is said in the extensive commentary: "Unobstructed appearance is skillful means, and wisdom without inherent existence is prajna." If you understand the meaning of this, there is no fault. For example, there was a person whose ancestors all died by fire, and he thought that fire could only burn. But once, in a certain nomadic monastery, he saw an animal called "Fire Mouse Treasure," which dwelled in fire, ate fire as food, and drank fire as drink, and his attachment disappeared. Or, as for the meaning of "crossing the palms of the hands," it is said in the Hand Seal Tantra: "The palms are the sound of striking, and when they are combined in the realm of the senses, the great mudra is the realm of space, embraced by two ascetic practices, on the tips of the vajra fingers, in the sesame seed-sized palace of space, establish a mudra like Mount Sumeru." What is the reason for the inconsistent statements about the length of time in the sutras and tantras? Generally speaking, the time for achieving the result, various vehicles such as the Great and Small Vehicles, do not have a unified measure of time, which is only the common understanding of the ordinary person's stage. In the ultimate sense, the measure of time is uncertain, because time is the appearance of the mind, and before one has gained control over the mind, the environment and time will appear as separate states. Once one has gained control over the mind, the environment and time can appear as one wishes. The Samdhinirmocana Sutra also says: "The measure of purifying past karmic obscurations is uncertain." The Vimalakirti Sutra also says: "For those who wish to shorten time, many kalpas can be blessed to pass in seven days." Therefore, it is said that after the mind gains control, it appears as one wishes. Like "wearing various wet leather clothes," etc. Regarding the charnel ground attire and the glorious attire: the attire that abides as the inherent nature of the body of the Great Glorious One is the glorious attire. The hair standing upright is a symbol of reversing the cause of samsara. The wings of the vajra garuda are a symbol of skillful means and wisdom. The earrings are the attire for suppressing eternalism and nihilism. The half vajra on the crown of the head is the attire of unchanging awareness. The pores filled with vajra armor are the attire of blazing light. The union with the consort, inseparable from the mother, is a symbol of self-realized wisdom, prajna, and emptiness.
