To effortlessly attain accomplishments, on the tenth day of the Saga month (fourth Tibetan month), when Guru Rinpoche and his consort went to the land of Oddiyana to beg for alms, the king of Oddiyana placed them together in a pyre for burning, but they emerged unharmed from a lotus, displaying the body of union and great bliss. If one holds the offerings of this festival, one will purify all obscurations of speech and attain the accomplishment of the voice of Brahma. On the tenth day of the Dron month (fifth Tibetan month), in a city on the southern border of India, five hundred heretical teachers were subdued at once, and by the power of the blessings of the Dakinis who subdue demons, the powerful masters of evil mantras were destroyed by lightning. If one holds the offerings of this festival, one will attain the supreme state of the Mahamudra Vidyadhara. On the tenth day of the Chutö month (sixth Tibetan month), Guru Rinpoche himself was miraculously born from a self-arisen lotus in the Dhanakosha lake on the island of Oddiyana. If one holds the offerings of this festival, one will attain the accomplishment of power to subdue the three realms, accomplishing the activity of power. On the tenth day of the Drozhun month (seventh Tibetan month), in the land of Zangling, the heretical king placed Guru Rinpoche in a copper container and cast him into the great river. The master miraculously ascended into the sky, and the river flowed backward, nearly destroying the king's palace. The king repented and sought refuge, entering the Buddhist teachings. If one holds the offerings of this festival, one will purify all obscurations of mind and attain the accomplishment of the unchanging heart. On the tenth day of the Chum month (eighth Tibetan month), the heretics tried to harm Guru Rinpoche with poisonous food, contact poisons, and various other poisons, but not only did it not harm the immortal Vajra body, but it also showed that his radiance was even greater than before. When all the fierce gods and demons of Tibet became agitated and attacked each other, the offering of this festival, which was initially sworn in with the intention of subduing appearances and existence, purifies all afflictions and sins of knowledge, and thus one will obtain the inexhaustible accomplishments of qualities and activities. The tenth day of the eleventh month of the Hor calendar, which is the month of Mgos-nya (Tibetan calendar), is the offering of this festival, which was held in Samye Chimphu after offering and discussing the teachings, with the intention and preparation to completely fill the land of snowy Tibet, in all its borders and centers, with hundreds of thousands of hidden treasures for the sake of all future followers.
