And also for the treatises, it is for the sake of generating faith. Thus it is said. Secondly: The sage who is skilled at washing away the defilements of sentient beings' minds, holding the excellent vase of wisdom, bestows the nectar of the three vows of good speech, may the assembly of those seeking meaning gather here! This means that the author himself, who is skilled at washing away the defilements of ignorance and delusion in the minds of sentient beings, is like a sage who is known in the world for possessing virtues; the wisdom that understands the words and meanings of the scriptures and their commentaries without any inversion is like the precious vase he holds in his hand; the treatise on the three vows of good speech that is to be written is like the supreme nectar stream that is placed in a vessel to pacify the suffering of samsara, using this as a metaphor to embody it. Therefore, for the fortunate ones who have the mind of seeking liberation, I will bestow it, please joyfully gather here and enjoy it! This is an exhortation. This well explains the four dharmas such as the necessity of this treatise: the three vows are the content to be explained; from this one can understand the good speech of the content to be explained and enter the path of liberation is the necessity; entering and ultimately achieving enlightenment is the ultimate necessity; these also arise relying on one another, therefore it is established as having relevance. Secondly, there are three aspects to the nature of the explanation itself: a brief explanation from the perspective of dividing the general object of explanation in order; a detailed explanation from the perspective of explaining the nature and precepts of each of the three vows; and a conclusion that summarizes the essence by analyzing how these three are practiced without contradiction in the continuum of one person. The first part has three: identifying the object to be achieved as knowledge, the object to be purified, the separation from faults, and the ultimate result; generally explaining the classification of the path to be practiced; and establishing the framework by relating the essence of the path of all vehicles to the practice of the three vows. The first is: Great Perfection is the image of the totality of wisdom, the completely pure body is the Great Vajradhara, the ultimate result of the fruit is the one Buddha. This means that the first two lines are words from the "Manjushri Oral Instructions."

It seems to be quoted. In the commentary on the *Vitapa*, "Great Perfection" is explained as the second of the two stages of the second order. Here, if the first line is explained as the common ground and result, and the latter two lines are explained as the scriptures that show the result, it seems easier to explain. So, the object to be purified is: the Tathāgatagarbha. In general, in all treatises, what is called "lineage" has many different views due to differences in philosophical schools. For example, the Vaibhāṣika school of the Hīnayāna considers contentment, which is not attached to existence and the means of existence, to be the lineage of the noble ones. The Sautrāntika school considers the seed of consciousness, which has the potential to generate uncontaminated wisdom, to be the lineage. The Cittamatra school considers the power to generate uncontaminated dharmas, which has existed in the mindstream since beginningless time, to be the attainment of the nature of reality. All of these are synthesized and are the schools that assert the reality of things. The Madhyamaka school, although mostly agreeing that the nature of reality with defilements, that is, suchness, is the lineage, has many different views on how to recognize it. Here, according to the uncommon view of the Mahāyāna, the nature of mind is primordially pure by its very nature, and remains immutably in the nature of emptiness, clarity, unobstructedness, and all-pervasiveness, which is the essence of the Sugatagarbha. As it is said in the *Samādhirāja Sūtra*: "Pure, clear, and luminous, undisturbed and uncompounded, is the essence of the Sugata, the nature of reality that has always been present." So it is. This Sugatagarbha is stated in the *Uttaratantra*: "Because the body of the fully enlightened one radiates, and because suchness is undifferentiated, and because there is lineage, all sentient beings constantly possess the Tathāgatagarbha." It explains that all sentient beings possess the Tathāgatagarbha for three reasons. "Essence, cause, effect, function, pervasion, duration, unchanging qualities, and undifferentiatedness, are said to be the meaning of the ultimate realm." The meaning of the essence is determined in ten ways. "That which dwells within the husk of afflictions, should be understood by means of examples." It explains in detail the way it is obscured by defilements through nine similes. And this, in the Vajrayāna of Secret Mantra, is known as the maṇḍala of the basis, continuum, and self-arisen nature. That is, the unchanging great bliss and the emptiness endowed with all aspects are
