Having attained enlightenment and Buddhahood, and until the night he would pass into nirvana, he did not utter even a single syllable. He will not speak. Because it was said that way. Furthermore, if considered in terms of the common situation of those to be tamed in general, the three wheels of Dharma were turned in sequence. The beings to be tamed for whom these three wheels were turned, the place where they were turned, the necessity for turning them, and so on, are all different. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: Just as a doctor gives medicine to a sick person, so too does the Buddha teach the Dharma to sentient beings according to their capacity to endure. Thus it is. Secondly, the first is primarily of direct meaning, because it is a sutra that mainly expounds the conventional truth as its subject. The middle one is primarily of definitive meaning, because it is the Prajnaparamita Sutra. The last one is uncertain, because there are various sutras, both common and uncommon to the vehicles. Thirdly, there are four: essence, divisions, measure, and definition. The first is: a collection of many sacred Dharma teachings from the scriptures that extensively expound the vast Dharma of realization as their subject. Secondly, according to the Mahayana, for the twenty-one thousand antidotes to actions involving equal parts of desire, hatred, and ignorance, the number of Dharma aggregates is the same, eighty-four thousand. According to the Hinayana, it is asserted that there are eighty thousand Dharma aggregates. Thirdly, in the treatise composed by Shariputra, it is asserted that the measure of the Dharma aggregates is six thousand shlokas. Some assert that it is the collection of words that completely expounds each item, such as the aggregates, elements, sense bases, or dependent origination. Vasubandhu asserts that it is the collection of words that completely expounds the antidotes that eliminate each affliction, such as actions involving desire. Because it is said that the eighty thousand Dharma aggregates correspond to the antidotes for the eighty thousand afflictions. As it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: Some say that the treatise is the measure, the aggregates and so on are each a word, and the Dharma aggregates are said to correspond to the antidotes for actions. Thus it is. Fourthly, according to the Sautrantikas and above, it is included in the form aggregate, because it is considered to be expressive words. According to the Vaibhashikas, it is included in the aggregate of formations, because it is considered to be a formation that does not possess a general name. The Dharma aggregates are one hundred

Now, the necessity (of this treatise). Whatever the capable one (Shakyamuni Buddha) has said, whether words or names, are all contained within form and formations. It is said thus. Secondly, the necessity and connection are: "The path of all-knowingness," etc. These two verses reveal the four dharmas of necessity, etc. The cause, path, and wisdom of all-knowingness, along with the content to be expressed. The teacher, the Buddha himself, has spoken the three versions of the Prajnaparamita Mother Sutra, the extensive, intermediate, and concise, along with their commentaries, which are the expressers. The necessity is: to easily understand the vast meaning of the sutra, which is the essence of the ten practices of Dharma, which accomplish the ten perfections, through concise language, which is the necessity of composing the treatise. The profound meaning of the sutra is not to be experienced or understood by others, such as non-Buddhists, as well as Hearers and Solitary Realizers. Then, whose realm is it? It is the realm of practice for intelligent Bodhisattvas. By placing the essence of the sutra of the ten practices of Dharma in the realm of hearing, thinking, and remembering, and accomplishing it through the wisdom of contemplation and meditation, the realization of the meaning of Prajnaparamita is what is seen by the intelligent, which is the ultimate necessity. The connection is implicitly revealed. Incidentally, there are many disagreements among past scholars regarding the identification of the ten practices of Dharma. Teacher Shantipa considers "writing, offering, and giving," etc., to be the ten practices of Dharma. Early Tibetans consider the Dharma practices contained within the seventy topics to be the ten dharmas that symbolize all-knowingness. Some consider them to be the ten virtues, etc. Although there seems to be no contradiction in meaning, I think the above-mentioned is correct, because the meaning of the sutra lies in remembrance. As it is said, the main point of the sutra's teaching is the ten perfections, and "seen by the intelligent." As it is said, if the meaning of these ten is seen, then the complete meaning of Prajnaparamita will be seen, so I think. Secondly, regarding the nature of the treatise to be composed, according to the capacity of the disciples, there are three types: extensive, intermediate, and concise, here is the concise one. First, there is the concise meaning of the body's classification, and the detailed explanation of the word meanings of the limbs. First, there is the body's classification, which is divided into: determining the nature of the body, determining the number, and determining the order. First, determining the nature of the body is divided into two: the nature of the meaning to be expressed, which includes the eight topics and seventy meanings. The nature of the language to be expressed is: "The path of all-knowingness and wisdom," etc., a total of twelve verses.
