The Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the extensive medium Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, and the extensive concise Ten Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, are respectively located in the realms of the Gandharva King Dhrtarastra, the Lord of the Gods, and the Nagas. The medium extensive Twenty-five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the medium medium Eighteen Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the medium concise Ten Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the concise extensive Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the concise medium Great Mother in Eighteen Fascicles, and the concise concise Collection of Precious Qualities, these are the divisions of extensive, medium, and concise. Later scholars believe that in order to benefit beings who enjoy lengthy texts, the Holy Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita was taught; for those who enjoy intermediate understanding, all meanings were condensed into the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Eighteen Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, and the Ten Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita; for those who enjoy understanding through outlines, all meanings were condensed into the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita; and for those who are attached to verses, all meanings of the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita were condensed into the Collection of Precious Qualities. Another view is that after the Buddha's Parinirvana, there was no agreement on who should manage the Prajnaparamita, so lots were drawn. As a result, the Nagas received the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Gods received the Eighteen Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, humans received the Twenty Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, and the Asuras received the Ten Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, each receiving their due share. Therefore, some do not believe that there are One Hundred Million Verse Prajnaparamita or Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita. In the twenty-eighth chapter of the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Buddha said to Ananda: This Prajnaparamita is the mother of all Buddhas, Arhats, Perfectly Enlightened Ones of the past, future, and present. It is the cause of birth and production of all omniscience. Thus have the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Enlightened Ones declared. Therefore, regarding this Mother, earlier scholars divided the eight topics to be expressed into seventeen mothers and sons, namely, the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Eighteen Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Ten Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, and the Collection, these six scriptures are considered as the Mothers. The Seven Hundred Verse Prajnaparamita, the Five Hundred Verse Prajnaparamita, the Three Hundred Verse Prajnaparamita, the One Hundred and Fifty Verse Prajnaparamita, the Sutra Requested by Surata-samghata-vikramin, the Sutra Requested by Kausika, the One-Letter Scripture, the Short-Letter Scripture, and the Heart Sutra, these eleven scriptures are considered as the Sons.

Moreover, counting the "Compendium" and the "Eight Thousand Verse Sutra" separately is a mistake due to not investigating carefully and not having seen the scriptures. Why is that? Because the "Eight Thousand Verse Sutra" has eighty-seven chapters, and the eighty-fourth chapter is the "Compendium." Furthermore, the classification of its upper, middle, and lower sections is also incorrect. Additionally, considering "Sun Essence," "Moon Essence," "Vajrapani," "Samantabhadra," and "Vajra Banner" as Prajnaparamita and saying that the meaning and number of the Mother of the Buddhas are wrong, even though the "Compendium of the Eight Thousand Verse Sutra" appears at the end, the one chapter of "Jewel Pinnacle" and "Glorious Auspicious Protector," the "Kalpa of Good Fortune" chapter, and the "Ten Bhumi Sutra" are the same. "The Practice of Good" and "The Noble Single Syllable," "The Essence of Dependent Arising," "The Prajnaparamita Self-Hundred Fifty Verses" with twenty-five doors, and so on. Moreover, extracting the "Two Examinations" from the "Hundred Thousand Tantras," extracting the "Praise of Names" from the "Net of Illusion," and so on. The "Heart Sutra" and the like also appear from both Sutra and Tantra. For the teachings of the Buddhas, there are those that have been said before, those that have been said in other places, and those that are said in various forms according to the dispositions of the beings to be tamed, with varying amounts and repetitions, without other means of benefiting beings. Moreover, the "Eight Thousand Verse Sutra" is a translation by Yeshe De, and the "Compendium" is a translation by Pal Tsek, and since the translations are different, counting them separately may not be contradictory. In any case, the "Hundred Thousand Verse Sutra," which is the basis of all of these, resides in the place of offering for the Nagas underground. The one who invites it is mentioned in the thirty-sixth chapter of the "Root Tantra of Manjushri": "After I, the Tathagata, pass away, when four hundred years have passed, a monk called Naga will appear. He will have faith in and benefit the teachings. Having attained the stage of great joy, he will live for six hundred years. The great peacock mantra, even that great being will accomplish." And in the "Noble Great Cloud Twelve Thousand Verse Sutra," it is also said: "Ananda, this Licchavi youth named 'Joyful to See by All Beings' will, four hundred years after my Nirvana, become a monk named Naga. He will greatly spread my teachings, and eventually, in the world called 'Gradual Light,' he will become the Tathagata 'Light, the Source of Wisdom.'" As it is said, the Prajnaparamita Thousand
