It exists from the first to the seventh bhumi, because there, due to the power of the coarse habitual afflictions not yet transformed, it mainly accomplishes self-benefit through practice. Second, it exists in the stages of the eighth and ninth bhumis, because through practice it can effortlessly accomplish the benefit of both self and others, and it has not yet attained the ability to benefit sentient beings in the post-meditation state in a manner similar to the Buddha. Third, it exists in the tenth bhumi, because there, in the post-meditation state, the way of benefiting sentient beings for other disciples is the same as that of the Buddha. However, they are not the same in terms of abandonment and realization, because of the analogy of the earth and dust. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: "Although it is like that, the difference between earth and dust, the ocean, the hoofprint of a cow, and the hoofprint of an elephant, is the very difference between the Buddha and the Bodhisattva." Fourth, there are three: definition, division, and demarcation. The first is: the goodness obtained through the power of meditation, just as the nature of the path of aspiration, which is the cause of oneself, is meditated upon. Second, there are twenty-seven benefits of praise, respect, and admiration, nine each. These also correspond to the three paths of aspiration and meditation respectively. Third is: from the second moment of the path of aspiration and meditation until Buddhahood. The meaning of the words is: the path of aspiration and meditation, if you divide it, there are three, because you have the three paths of aspiration and meditation for self-benefit, two benefits, and other benefits. The second is: the two at the time of "especially dedicated dedication." First, the dedication practice path of the Great Vehicle has three aspects: definition, division, and incidental dedication. The first is: the Great Vehicle's post-meditation realization, which is included in the post-meditation that dedicates one's own roots of virtue to perfect enlightenment. Second, there are two types: demarcation and division from the perspective of the object. First, there are two types of dedication practice paths: those included in impure lands and pure lands. Second, dividing from the perspective of the object, there are twelve types of dedication practice paths: those with special aspirations, those without objects, those that are not inverted, those that remember the nature of solitary virtuous accumulations, those that are skillful in means, those that are without characteristics, those that are illuminated by the Buddhas, those that do not belong to the three realms, those that are symbolized by small examples, those that are symbolized by medium examples, and those that are symbolized by large examples.

Regarding Dedication: There are three aspects: definition, classification, and characteristics. The first aspect is: having the aspiration to transform one's own and others' roots of virtue into extraordinary results. The second aspect is divided into: dedication for higher realms and dedication for definite goodness. The latter is further divided into: dedication of the Lesser Vehicle and dedication of the Great Vehicle. The third aspect is divided into six aspects: the roots of virtue to be dedicated, the place to which dedication is made, the person who dedicates, the manner of dedication, the necessity of such dedication, and the power that enables the accomplishment of dedication. The first aspect is: all the virtues accumulated in the three times. As stated in the Sutra of the Dedication of the Vajra Banner: "All beings have whatever virtues, etc." The second aspect includes: dedication to the worldly, dedication to the grounds of the Lesser Vehicle, and dedication to unsurpassed Bodhi. The third aspect is: as it is said in the scriptures, "In front of a stupa containing relics, that which is praised by the Sugatas will be accomplished." This serves as an example. The fourth aspect is: in terms of special dedication, it is accomplished through the wisdom of the three spheres being completely pure. The fifth aspect is: for the sake of the roots of virtue being inexhaustible and increasing more and more. The sixth aspect is: in order for the dedication to be accomplished, we beseech the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions to be aware. In terms of meaning: the phenomena of the subsequent wisdom of the second ground, dedication is the path of meditation, because it is the subsequent realization of the Great Vehicle, which is encompassed by the subsequent attainment that dedicates one's own and others' roots of virtue to unsurpassed Bodhi. The third aspect is: in the case of "means and non-objectification," there are two. The first is rejoicing, which is the path of meditation, with three aspects: definition, classification, and doubt resolution. The first aspect is: the subsequent realization of the Great Vehicle, which is encompassed by the subsequent attainment of truly cultivating joy in one's own and others' roots of virtue, with feelings, happiness, and correspondence. The second aspect is divided into: rejoicing associated with impure grounds and rejoicing associated with pure grounds. The third aspect is: aspiration, dedication, and rejoicing are not contradictory, because all contaminated meditation paths of the Great Vehicle are included within the dedication meditation path, because they are all meditation paths encompassed by the aspiration for Bodhi. However, they are not completely identical, because the two, aspiration and dedication, that correspond to neutral feeling are not rejoicing meditation paths.
