At the feet of Norbu Kunchyen Gyalwang the Fifth, I offered my hair tuft and was given the name Ngawang Padma Tendzin. It coincided with the first arrival of the self-arisen Arya Avalokiteśvara of Kyirong, so he rejoiced, saying it was an auspicious sign. Subsequently, in various situations and times, I respectfully relied upon Kunchyen Gyalwai Wangpo and Rigdzin Trinle Lhundrup, the two incomparable masters, as well as sixteen great upholders of the teachings who showed the excellent path of maturation and liberation, and thirty-five preceptors from whom I heard various profound teachings. First, I received the complete lay vows and the bodhisattva vows, as well as the complete empowerments of the three precepts of the Karma tradition and the Eight Herukas, understanding their meaning, and laid the foundation of possessing the three vows. I heard all the ancient Nyingma Kama teachings that are still extant today, such as the Sutra, Illusion, and Mind sections, as well as the terma teachings represented by the Lama, Dzogchen, and Thuk sections, including the general collection of practice sections and their individual branches, and most of the well-known teachings. I also received the rough parts of the New Tantras, as well as numerous empowerments, transmissions, explanations, and oral instructions on many Sutra aspects. From the age of thirteen, I began to study various philosophical systems, listening to the Guhyagarbha Tantra and its commentary, the Semnyid Ngalso, and the Yizhin Dzö root text and commentary, and then teaching and spreading them to others. In particular, I diligently listened to and studied the works of Kunchyen Chenpo (Omniscient Great One), removing the superficial understanding I had before, and cutting through the proliferation of thoughts about realizing the meaning of reality. After that, in various circumstances, I went to sacred places such as Chimphu and Yamalung, as well as secluded places in my own residence, and practiced Guru Peaceful and Wrathful, Vajrasattva, the Eight Herukas, Yangpur Vajrakilaya, Yamantaka, Hayagriva, Khechari, and other peaceful and wrathful deities, about thirty-five in total, for periods ranging from years to six months to one month. I had countless visions and prophecies, as recorded in the secret biography, and in particular, the signs and appearances of Tögal and lung practice became manifest. At the age of eighteen, I unearthed profound terma teachings from Yamalung, such as the mother and son teachings of the Rigdzin Thukthik Dharma cycle, as well as the experiential liberation blessing pills, and employed them to mature and liberate many fortunate beings. From the age of twenty-one, I became the supreme lama of both Gyalwang the Fifth and Jamgön Desi Sangye Gyatso.

Being revered, every year many rituals and empowerments for dispelling obstacles were performed, and especially many teachings of the Kama and Terma were offered. His own numerous tutors also fulfilled the wish of listening to many categories of Dharma with great enthusiasm. Furthermore, to many eminent beings who uphold the teachings, and many who hold high positions, etc., the superior, middling, and inferior, he bestowed empowerments, instructions on Mahamudra, transmissions, and pith instructions, etc., the number of Dharma teachings is immeasurable. Especially for the Nyingma tradition, many special Dharma teachings that are indispensable and close to being lost were listened to and explained with great effort, and the tradition was established and continued through teaching and practice. Likewise, the order of writing treatises is also limitless. In order to make the offerings of the lord of the teachings, the patrons, and the donors meaningful, and as stated in the Terma prophecy: "Especially in the sacred place of Yoru Tsangma (གཡོ་རུ་གཙང་མའི་སར), the community gathered as one group (ཚོམ་བུ་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུས་པའི་སྡེ), in the future the teachings will greatly increase (མ་འོངས་བསྟན་པ་ཆེར་འཕེལ་ནས), and the happiness of Tibet will rise to the sky (བོད་ཀྱི་བདེ་སྐྱིད་དགུང་དུ་འདེགས)." According to the prophecy, this monastic community of Orgyen Mindrolling (འདུས་སྡེ་ཨོ་རྒྱན་སྨིན་གྲོལ་གླིང་) was newly built in the Fire Dragon year, and gradually three main temples were constructed. The monastic community also increased from the initial eight monks to nearly three hundred later, placing them under the discipline of the three vows, and continuously engaging in the three activities without being distracted by gain and honor. They were provided with residences, the three supports, and offerings, as well as the infrastructure and supplies for performing the four seasonal practices of many large mandalas, and many painted and sculpted images, and about five hundred scriptures including the Kangyur written in gold and silver, and many supports for the mind such as large stupas, all the objects of use were immersed in offerings. Many profound Terma Dharma gates were invited from the Terma sites such as Namchak Drak, Crystal Rock, and Shawuk, and those who were fortunate were guided to maturation and liberation, these are just a few of the activities mentioned. Thus, from the age of sixteen to sixty-nine, the disciples who carried out the activities of Dharma were countless. Finally, in the Wood Horse year (1774), from the first month, he showed signs of being slightly ill. Especially on the twenty-fifth, he bestowed the final instructions to his uncles and nephews. From then on, he began to receive foot treatments.
