The Candras are not counted in either the seven or ten categories. At that time, when King Nemichandra was ruling, one of his ministers, a Brahmin named Rajaguru, started a rebellion, and when he was ruling, a relative of that Brahmin went to Nalanda. The sound of the ghanta being struck became the sound of "Phattaya." When the Brahmin phonologists analyzed it, they said that it was the sound of "crushing the brains of evil heretics." Therefore, according to the historical records that occurred in Tibet before: Worshipped by gods, nagas, and sages, The crest jewel of the Three Jewels, when this is struck, Crushes the brains of immoral heretics. It is said that such a statement appeared. The sound of the ghanta is called "crushing," meaning to crush. Some think that this is the Chinese transliteration of the sound of many drops of water falling, but it is considered to be the Tibetan word "crushing." There, the Brahmin king Rajaguru and other heretics waged war, and many monasteries from the central region to Jalandhara were burned down. It is said that many learned monks were also killed. After five years, he himself died. Therefore, as the prophecy said, the Teacher's doctrine flourished in the first five hundred years and declined in the next five hundred years. Until Nagarjuna propagated the Dharma in the central region and built temples, etc., it became more and more numerous, so it was a flourishing period. When Nagarjuna was doing altruistic deeds in the southern region, the Islamic religion began to rise, and when he was staying on Mount Shri, the damage caused by the Brahmin Rajaguru, etc., all of these were the beginning of the decline. After that, King Manichandra ruled in Magadha. At that time, in a branch of eastern Bengal called Go Sang, a king named Golapala appeared, who had great wealth and power. He restored all the dilapidated monasteries of the past and expanded the religious foundation. The abbot Samdzog also made great contributions to the Dharma, expanded the Vinaya Pitaka of the Shravaka vehicle, and established sixty religious sites in Magadha, etc., making it flourish. These were all things that happened when Nagarjuna was staying on Mount Shri and not long after.

That happened during the time of conquest. After that, King Chandra Gupta, son of King Pala Chandra, meaning 'moon hidden,' appeared. Although he was very powerful, he practiced both virtue and vice and did not take refuge in the Buddha, so he is not counted among the seven Chandras. Master Āryadeva. At that time, Master Āryadeva appeared at glorious Nalanda. The Tibetans say that he was miraculously born from a lotus in the pleasure garden of the island of Simhala and was raised as a substitute for the king's son. However, in the commentary on the Four Hundred Verses, Master Chandrakirti says that he was the son of the king of Simhala. In some Indian legends, it is also said that way. If that is the case, the king of Simhala, named Pañcaśrīgama, had a son with a name. When he grew up, he was placed in the position of regent, but he was particularly inclined to become a monk. He became a monk from a Khenpo named Hemadeva and was fully ordained. He mastered all three pitakas. In order to see the temples and stupas of various countries, he came to Jambudvipa. He relied on the lotus feet of Nagarjuna, who was residing on the Mountain of Glory, and attained many siddhis, including the elixir of life, and eventually he was entrusted with the teachings of the essence. After Nagarjuna passed away, he worked for the benefit of sentient beings, and taking materials from mountain gods and tree gods, he built twenty-four temples. At that time, in the eastern city of Linai, a black Brahmin named Durnirjaya appeared. It is said that a merchant in the city of Khortana had ten daughters, all of whom worshiped the Three Jewels. The youngest daughter was given as a bride to a wealthy Brahmin named Sangaguhya. Later, she gave birth to a son who was named Black. He was very respectful to his parents and was known as Father-Slave and Mother-Slave. It is said that Warrior, Aśvaghoṣa, Father-Slave, Mother-Slave, Durnirjaya, Dharma-Rich-Prosperity, and Mati Citra are known as synonyms of his name. This is because, in the past, when the Blessed One was teaching the Dharma in the midst of an assembly, a crow dropped bird droppings on his head and flew away. The assembly was astonished and asked what this meant. The Teacher prophesied that this person would become a heretical pandita named Aśvaghoṣa in the future.
