你们三个去卓夏拉瓦坚(Zhor Sharawa Can),我去看香扎玛瓦坚(Zhang Drakmarwa Can)。’

Geshe Chobar became a monk and extensively listened to the Dharma. In Yarlung, he listened to the Abhidharma-samuccaya about seven times from the Nyekche brothers. Accompanied by Geshe Nyek, he listened to one reading of the Be'u Bum at Yagapa, and then another, but did not thoroughly understand it. Later, he asked Nyalpa Yonten Sherab, a disciple of Langri Tangpa: 'What virtues does your Geshe have?' He heard that he had 'mind training' (blo sbyong). Although he himself was a disciple, he did not reside here. There, he listened to the 'Eight Verses' (tshig brgyad po) of Langri Tangpa from Nyang Chakshingpa. He said that his faith in the Kadampa also arose from this. Afterwards, he met Dolpa and Lungmepa, and stayed there for four years, until he was thirty years old. Later, Sothangpa said: 'Be my object of offering.' Because he had heard the 'Eight Verses' before, he had faith in the Kadampa and requested to leave. There, he made a torma (gtor ma) and said: 'Even if you are burned in the flames of hell, if you do not meet a single lama, I have no blessing.' At the age of thirty-one, he went to Uru. He had faith in Langtangpa and passed away. When asked who was the highest among his descendants, they said 'Nyen'. He wanted to go to Langtang, He sent three servants ahead to deliver the scriptures, namely Nye, Vawa Dulwa Dzinpa, and Dode. They returned and said that they did not get along with Langtang Tzinpa. 'It seems we cannot go. You three go to Zhor Sharawa Can, and I will go to see Zhang Drakmarwa Can.' He bid farewell to Drompa and went to Serbaka. He sold a piece of cloth to the caretaker of Sertopa and stayed there for two winters. In the spring, he went to Jomo. He begged for alms in Tsarna for twelve years. Later, he wanted to go to Jomo Keru, and as he was about to leave, he met many monks and merchants from Sharawa of Lho Nyal. They offered gifts and asked where he was going. He said he was going to Zhor, so they put a mule load of goods in Rab Gonpa and let him stay there. They went to trade. Afterwards, they returned to Zhor. In the summer, he seemed to be teaching the teachings of the Shravaka Vehicle. After listening, he did not understand anything except for a confused whole. He thought that since no edge of the whole appeared, there was nothing. He told a food deliverer: 'If I am going to seek meaning, do not deliver it. If the Dharma is here, I will stay; if not, I must go.' He thought that carrying a pile of things like dog dung was useless. There was no opportunity to request. One day, the monks were holding a feast. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
