After performing tea offerings and other rituals at Ra Treng Monastery, he entered a state of meditation. The following is a supplement to the eight-line verse. The Tamer said: 'Respecting the refuge is the basis of the path; keeping the vows pure is the foundation of the path; Not being greedy for this life is the pinnacle of the path; not being aware of failure is the way of practice.' Madhyamaka In 'The Blazing Light of Wisdom,' it is said: 'Even a married prince should be prostrated to by a renunciate.' In 'The Ornament of the Sutras,' it is said: 'In the final age of the future, I myself will appear in the form of letters.' Just as in a forest, if wild animals and predators live together, the life of the wild animals will be taken away, so too, if a Bhikshu (Dge slong, Buddhist term, referring to a male monastic) and a woman live together, the lifeline of liberation will surely be cut off. 1-301 Atisha (Jo bo, honorific title) said: 'If a Bhikshu who sees the truth of the half-moon associates with those who break their vows, then in that life he will not see the truth.' Therefore, one should stay far away from those who have broken their vows and from women. May the great work of benefiting beings quickly come to pass! May, relying on this profound Mahayana Dharma, pure higher intention and the Bodhicitta (Byang chub kyi sems, Sanskrit: Bodhicitta, mind of enlightenment) of exchanging self and others arise in the mindstream, and may this Bodhicitta be genuine, not artificial! Master Serlingpa (Gser gling pa, name) said to Jowo: I prostrate and take refuge with great reverence in Master Serlingpa and his lineage of precious gurus. Please grant your blessings! Master Serlingpa, the possessor of wisdom and compassion, said to Jowo: 'Child, in this degenerate age, when you are working for the benefit of others, you need to integrate all the collections of teachings (Bka' sde snod, Buddhist term, referring to the compilation of Buddhist scriptures), reasoning, and the guru's instructions, and practice them on a single seat. In this way, all adverse conditions and obstacles such as diseases, disasters, demons, evil spirits, heretics, etc., will not be able to hinder you. These teachings need to be practiced in this way:' 'All thoughts must be destroyed, all antidotes must be completely defeated. All intentions must be unified, all paths must be traversed in one go. The four antidotes are the Dharma of purification,' 1-302 'They are needed when taming beings in border regions, and it is necessary to be able to tolerate evil retinues and perverse practices, which is needed in the degenerate age.' The meaning of this is: Whatever thoughts arise, they must be destroyed on the spot. Search for where it appears? In the field of which sense consciousness does it appear? What is its shape and color? This is like a poisonous snake or a mad dog, one must not approach it, and once it appears, one must not be lazy in applying the antidote to completely defeat it.

'Your root is conceptual thought, which arises entirely from conceptual thought.' And, 'Conceptual thought is vast ignorance, it hurls you into the ocean of samsara.' And, in the *Madhyamakavatara* it says: 'Ordinary beings are bound by conceptual thought, while yogis without conceptual thought are liberated.' Whatever conceptual thoughts turn into error, the wise call it the fruit of severance.' And so forth, all the sutras and shastras of the Mahayana state that conceptual thought is a great obstacle to achieving enlightenment. Therefore, it is very important not to be lazy. Here, too much thinking will ultimately not lead to accomplishment, so even with profound Dharma, do not be scattered, but all aspirations must be single-mindedly focused on destroying conceptual thought. The sutras also say: 'All mental activity is the work of Mara.' Therefore, until one attains the Buddha who knows all aspects, all the grounds and paths, such as the accumulations, joining, seeing, and meditation, must be focused on destroying conceptual thought with antidotes that arise in succession. In short, one must also reach the root of conceptual thought with antidotes that arise in succession. All aspirations must be focused on destroying conceptual thought with antidotes. All paths must be cut off by that alone. The objects to be adopted are the four dharmas of purification through antidotes. Again, it is said: 'Adverse conditions are good spiritual friends, demons and spirits are emanations of the Victorious Ones, sickness is the broom of sins and obscurations, suffering is the awakening of the nature of reality.' These are the four laws of affliction, which are needed when taming the borderlands. It is necessary in the degenerate age to endure evil retinues and wrong practices.' The meaning of this is: Therefore, no matter what unpleasant adverse conditions arise, such as sickness and suffering, use them as a spur, and on top of that, visualize taking on the sickness and suffering of all sentient beings, and generate a joyful thought, thinking that it will definitely ripen. Similarly, no matter what favorable conditions arise, such as happiness and joy, give them to sentient beings, and cultivate a joyful mind, thinking of perfecting the assembly of sentient beings. Similarly, no matter what phenomena arise, such as forms, sounds, smells, tastes, etc., search for them, but you will not find them. Relax and abide in the meaning of not finding them, this is a good spiritual friend who stimulates the nature of reality. Because it is a companion in achieving enlightenment, cultivate joy. When harm arises from gyalpo spirits, demons, yakshinis, earth lords, etc., use it as a spur, visualize taking on all the harm and suffering of all sentient beings, and generate a joyful thought, thinking that it will definitely ripen, the harmer... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
