Furthermore, I wish to practice the guru's teachings, which are like an ocean, day and night, so please have great compassion and grant me an opportunity.' As soon as he heard those words, the guru said: 'Welcome, lord of the earth! Welcome, son of the king! Welcome, great scholar! Welcome, lord of beings! Welcome, great hero! Welcome, with your entourage! Welcome, for practicing great austerities! Welcome, for subduing the black powerful one! Welcome, for overcoming the opposing forces! Welcome, for proclaiming the banner of fame! Welcome, for arriving without fault! All monks, put on your Dharma robes! Pay homage to the holy one!' Having said this, all the monks wearing the three Dharma robes of matching colors, all holding the same alms bowls, all carrying beautifully decorated incense burners, five hundred and thirty-five monks like extremely tamed Arhats, led by the guru Serlingpa, followed by sixty-two novices, in short, five hundred and seventy-two ordained monks came from afar to greet them. Immediately, as when the Bhagavan was alive and surrounded by Arhats, they became extremely tamed and reached the ultimate of wisdom and joy. At that time, I also loaded the matching items onto two elephants and had four lay practitioners carry the supplies. To please the guru, I prepared panditas skilled in the five sciences and at least one monk skilled in the three pitakas, who did not wear shoes, wearing the three Dharma robes beautifully dyed with Kashmiri saffron, which were initially praised by the Mahasamghika school. They all carried iron alms bowls without cracks or holes, due to the greatness of interdependence, and copper bowls that could hold one Magadha bre of alms, as well as incense burners and all other items praised by the lord of the teachings. All wore the unpretentious hats of panditas, and each carried a white yak tail fan. They were the great panditas Gowa Sangpo, Chokyi Beshenyen, Gewa Jungne, Pawo Dorje, Lhai Lodro, Nyima Bepa, Sai Nyingpo, Yeshe Nyingpo, Ngagi Wangchuk, Dhana Shrī Mitra, Sherab Sangpo, Dawa Sangpo, Kuntu Sangpo, Sangwai Nyingpo, Lodro Taye, Gyatso Barwa, Rirab Gyalpo, Pawo Rolpa, and others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The great paṇḍitas, and one hundred and eight monks who were proficient in the three piṭakas (Tripiṭaka, three baskets), Thirteen novices, four great monks, a total of one hundred and twenty-five people, followed me closely, maintaining a proper distance from each other, neither too close nor too far, the line was continuous, Like a tent of five-colored rainbows. Wherever Protector Serlingpa (Serlingpa, name of a master) resided, I went there. Upon arrival, everything became perfect and wonderful, and the gods showered flowers. In the past, I had been connected with the guru from beginningless time, but here, I received teachings that I had not received before. There were so many paṇḍitas following me, and after we made offerings with our hands, the guru and his entourage could not bear the radiance of me and my great disciples, because I had perfected all the Pratimoksha vows and merits, we were of one mind, Everyone's views and actions were consistent, and everyone was learning from me. In response, they also bowed as if falling down. Through his blessing, I was later respected by the entire land of Tibet and India. At that time, I offered a jewel vase, which was large in the belly and naturally formed, With a stable base and a long neck, the mouth tilted and the lips straight, filled with various jewels inside, but clearly visible outside. The vase was filled with jewels, gold, silver, pearls, coral, and lapis lazuli, and offered to the guru. Everyone else offered a gold pot filled with one 'sho' of gold. The venerable Guru Serlingpa asked about the obstacles on the path in the form of verses, as follows: The Vinaya holder has come well! Have you come wearing the robes of discipline? The Great Compassionate One has come well! Has the Dharma King arrived here? Your fame is far-reaching, Seeing you is very joyful, you have come well! In the palace of Indian Dharma, do you benefit beings with vast actions, and with impartial compassion, act as protector, refuge, and friend? Is the wise one of noble origin? Are you protected by many gurus? Are you respected by many wise ones? It is wonderful that you have come here today! It is heard that you have been in the ocean of the lord of beings, For thirteen months (possibly referring to retreat time), it is truly amazing! It is heard that you have subdued Black Maheśvara (Maheśvara, a Hindu deity), your fame is truly widespread! The wise one has come from a long distance, Has your body and mind become tired? Regarding the jealousy of the black side (referring to negative forces), have you become weary with compassion? Great being! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
