Those who are fortunate enough to have the nectar of the oral instructions of the lineage guru imprinted on their minds, but with their self-righteous and bad attitude, in order to relieve their inner suffering, Show too much expectation, claiming that there are two lineages, near and far, and three kinds of pith instructions, extensive, medium, and concise; or from 'Open Guidance Like an Iron Hook' and 'Verses and Answers', Claiming that there are three kinds of pith instructions, extensive, medium, and concise; or from 'Clarifying the Meaning of the Root Text and Commentary', claiming that there are three kinds of meditation, extensive, medium, and concise. May I tame my mind through extensive learning, And realize the profound meaning of incomparable meditation. You stand here like a banner of fame, Raining down auspicious wealth, I praise you! May I never exhaust the boundaries of knowledge, And constantly remember the impermanence of death. May I drink this nectar-like speech of the holy ones, And practice meditation in a secluded place! May this instruction of the Dakini, endowed with four lineages, Not fall from my mouth due to the eight worldly concerns. May I, through practice focused inward, Cut through fabrications from the root. May I avoid meaningless arguments, not burning myself and others, With skillful speech that is familiar with the essential points, And joyfully increase realization with Vajra Masters, Vajra siblings, etc. May I, with the confidence of completing the retreat, Before reaching a state of not deceiving myself, Not be deceived by other illusions, And single-mindedly liberate myself. No matter how skilled I am at Determining all Dharmas with boastful talk and grand pronouncements, It is useless when adverse conditions arise. Therefore, may I constantly meditate on the profound meaning! May there be no obstacles to meditation, And may the experiences and realizations constantly increase. May all interdependent relationships be properly arranged, And may the four valid cognitions arise in my mind. May this jewel of wise teachings, Be placed on the crown of the head of the Naga King (Klu dbang, नागराज, nāgarāja, Naga King). May this ocean of the teachings of the practice lineage, Long flourish and remain! May all wise guides and scholars, Take as they wish from this ocean of the Guru's words, Which contains a wish-fulfilling jewel. Enjoy it properly with unwavering faith! When the jewel of wisdom's sky rises, Its light pervades the earth. May all the flocks of unfortunate demons, Turn their faces north and flee into caves! Emaho! (E ma ho, अहो, aho, Wonderful!)
