I, along with my followers, establish the object of perception (gzung yul) as a single collection of self-characterized (rang mtshan) atoms. In the context of the tenets that refute external objects, in the situation where there are 'nominal truth' and 'nominal falsehood,' we establish the sense consciousness (dbang shes) that appears as external objects as the nature of consciousness appearing as objects, thereby establishing emptiness (stong nyid)—the emptiness devoid of the otherness of grasper and grasped—as the reality of the object, thus supporting the tenet of nominal truth. Ultimately, we establish the sense consciousness that appears as objects as false superimposition (sgro btags), thereby establishing suchness (de kho na nyid)—the emptiness of both grasper and grasped—as the reality of the object, thus establishing the foundation of the tenet of nominal falsehood. This is because the essence of the first chapter (rab byed) has been summarized. By establishing the path of understanding through intellectual analysis, the two valid cognitions (tshad ma) of direct perception (mngon gyur) and inference (lkog gyur) realize the single self-character. This will be explained below. Here, we, the abbreviated followers, divide non-valid cognition (tshad min) into five categories, rejecting mental scrutiny (yid dpyod), direct perceptual ascertainment (mngon sum bcad shes), and direct perception that appears but is not understood. All types of consciousness, in the same way as logical reasoning, like a valid reason (rtags yang dag), become valid cognition that newly realizes its own object; like an unestablished reason (ma grub pa'i gtan tshigs), become non-enlightened consciousness that is powerless to newly realize the object; like a contradictory reason ('gal rtags), become wrong consciousness (log shes) that grasps the object in a reversed manner; like an uncertain reason (ma nges pa'i gtan tshigs), become the four types of consciousness that generate manifest or latent doubt (som nyi) about their own object. Thus, the difference between the consciousness that is the obtainer of the entering object and the non-obtainer is clearly distinguished. This is because the essence of the second chapter has been summarized. Through the analysis of generality (spyi) and particularity (bye brag), the five chapters establish the result. That is, the consciousness possessing an object (yul can gyi blo) understands or grasps the objects individually or mixedly, because it is the result or action done by the consciousness to the object. Among them, through the analysis of generality and particularity, it is established that, in general, the consciousness possessing an object is conceptual (rtog pa), and non-conceptual (rtog med) consciousness each realizes the main parts of the object—generality and self-character. Considering that the classification of self-character will be explained below, here, although conjectural generality and particularity have both self-character and generality, all conjectural generality and particularity are established as generality, thereby rejecting the view that generality and particularity are one entity or different entities, etc. This is because the essence of the third chapter has been summarized. Through the analysis of appearance and exclusion, the ways of grasping or entering of conceptual and non-conceptual are established. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
