The view of realizing selflessness is the uncommon view of Mahayana. Fourth, the way to combine with philosophical tenets: The view of realizing the selflessness of the person is a common view of both the true and false aspects of Cittamātra (Mind-Only). The view of realizing the selflessness of apprehended phenomena is mainly the view of the true aspect of Cittamātra. The view of realizing the selflessness of the apprehender of phenomena is the uncommon view of the false aspect of Cittamātra. As it is said in the self-commentary of the 'Treasury of Reasoning': 'The Hearer's disciple realizes the selflessness of the person, and the non-disciple realizes the innate selflessness, while the Solitary Buddha realizes half of the selflessness of apprehended phenomena, and the Bodhisattva realizes both selflessnesses, and the Buddha realizes it by abandoning the obscurations along with the predispositions.' Second, explaining the classification of paths, divided into: explaining the path as the means of travel, and explaining the five yogic grounds that symbolize it. First are the five paths of the Hearers, the five paths of the Solitary Realizers, and the five paths of the Great Vehicle. First, if it is any of the Hearer's path of accumulation or path of preparation, then it is necessarily the realization of the selflessness of the person in a general way. If it is any of the three paths of seeing, meditation, and no-more-learning, then it is necessarily a direct realization. Moreover, if it is any of the Hearer's path of seeing or path of meditation, then it is necessarily a direct realization of the imputed selflessness of the person. If it is their path of no-more-learning, then it is necessarily a direct realization of the innate selflessness of the person. Second, regarding the five paths of the Solitary Realizers, if it is any of the Solitary Realizer's path of accumulation or path of preparation, then it is necessarily the realization of both the selflessness of the person and the selflessness of apprehended phenomena in a general way. If it is any of the Solitary Realizer's path of seeing or path of meditation, then it is necessarily a direct realization of both the imputed selflessness of the person and the selflessness of apprehended phenomena. If it is the Solitary Realizer's path of no-more-learning, then it is necessarily a direct realization of both the innate selflessness of the person and the selflessness of apprehended phenomena. Therefore, if it is any of the Hearer's path or the Solitary Realizer's path, then it is necessarily the non-realization of the selflessness of the apprehender of phenomena. Third, regarding the Great Vehicle's path, there are also five paths such as the path of accumulation. If it is the Great Vehicle's path of accumulation, then it is necessarily the realization of both the selflessness of the person and the selflessness of apprehended phenomena. For the Great Vehicle's path of preparation, the samadhi (定,concentration) of obtaining warmth and summit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Samadhi of obtaining forbearance without clinging. There are four Samadhis of obtaining the supreme Dharma without interruption. If any of these four are obtained, it is pervasive to realize the three: the absence of self of the person who is grasped, the grasper, and the Dharma. If it is the noble path of the Mahayana, it is pervasive to realize these three selflessnesses manifestly. Secondly, the so-called five yogic grounds, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'The basis of accumulation and the arising exist, they are seen only in name. Having seen only in name, one does not see them there later.' As stated, the basis of accumulation, arising, mirror-like, appearance, and support are designated as the five yogic grounds. The definitions are, respectively: First, like the accumulation path of the Mahayana; second, like the heat, peak, and forbearance of the path of joining of these; third, like the supreme Dharma of the path of joining of these; fourth, like the path of seeing and the path of meditation of these; fifth, it is placed on the path of no more learning of the Mahayana. Thirdly, regarding the classification of results, the body of the Buddha has two aspects: characteristics and divisions. First, the body that has reached the ultimate in abandonment and realization is its characteristic. The divisions of the body are: the Dharmakaya (法身,Dharmakāya), the Sambhogakaya (报身,Saṃbhogakāya), and the Nirmanakaya (化身,Nirmāṇakāya). The Dharmakaya also has two divisions: the Dharmakaya of realization and the Svabhavikakaya (自性身,Svābhāvikakāya). This is also reasonable, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'It should be known that the three bodies encompass the body of the Buddha,' etc., because it is explained in the self-commentaries of the Mind-Only school. Therefore, for the individuals of the three vehicles, the scope should be determined based on the context of the true or false aspects of the Mind-Only school. If one is a stream-enterer of the Hearer vehicle, they are pervasively a Sautrantika (经部宗,Sautrāntika). If one is a Pratyekabuddha (独觉,Pratyekabuddha), they are pervasively a true aspect of the Mind-Only school. If one is an individual of the Mahayana, they are pervasively a false aspect of the Mind-Only school, and that is sufficient. In the discussion of whether forms, sounds, etc., exist, some say: Forms, sounds, etc., do not exist because there is no matter. In the self-commentary, it says: 'Here, knowable things do not go beyond the two: real and unreal. Real things do not go beyond matter and consciousness. Whatever view of matter you desire has already been refuted.' Our own view is that forms, sounds, etc., exist because there is manifest awareness of objects. Because 'the proponents of object-awareness, by the power of their own tenets, establish valid cognition and its result,' the meaning of this doctrine is established. Grasped and Grasping are different substances. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
