Whether appearing good or bad, one should be respectful and worthy of being a lama. As Avalokiteśvara said: The wise respect qualities, not Buddhas, powers, etc. Whoever respects those without qualities, that is foolishness, born from non-virtuous actions. Thus, not relying on the person, but relying on the Dharma or qualities, is the essence of the teachings of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. However, here, whether in Dharma or worldly matters, I cannot find any praiseworthy qualities, nor do I have any experiences worth asking about or writing about. Nevertheless, considering the image of some practitioners in this degenerate age, whose entry into Dharma and politics, and whose conduct, are as fickle as the summer weather, ultimately vanishing like mist without bringing any real benefit to themselves or others, I have focused my mind on one thing, leaving behind unwavering footprints, like a lotus seed. I have obtained a support with leisure and endowments, free from defects, and naturally possess the harmonious four conducive conditions. I have applied myself to listening, thinking, and meditating as much as possible, and the result is the completion of the wheel representing the three activities of abandoning, reading, and working. From here, I will briefly describe a few aspects. First, the place where this body resides is: In the great land of Tibet, divided into upper, middle, and lower regions, the middle region where I am located is among the six ranges divided by the four great rivers, between the Nujiang and Yalong rivers, belonging to Salmogang. Among the twenty-five great sacred sites of Do Kham, it is one of the eight great practice sites subdued by the Padma family, in front of Padma Lhatse. In a place like a hidden small valley, called Ronggyap, there lived a family with a balance of wealth and poverty. The father, named Bon Ngagpa Sonam Phel, was skilled in craftsmanship, very honest, with faith and good intentions, possessing complete preliminary accumulations and purifications, well-versed in mind-essence practice, and very diligent in recitation. The mother, named Tashi Tso, was gentle, patient, with faith and pure appearances, fond of giving, and had recited 250 million six-syllable mantras. They became husband and wife, but the family had only one…

No. It is said that my real surname is Kyunpo. Its origin is that, in order to guide sentient beings, a great Garuda emanated from the heart of the master Kunsang Rig Ngang O Kyi Gyalpo in the upper direction and descended on the six-peaked Mount Gyimshod. When the locals saw it, they talked about a male Garuda landing on the top of the mountain. After that Garuda flew away, four eggs, white, yellow, green, and black, were left under its claws, which hatched in due course, and four boys emerged from them. They went to a high mountain peak in Pübo and, using their clairvoyance, examined which beings each of them should tame. Three of them settled in the direction of Gyimshod, from which the Kyunpo White clan, Black clan, and Ser Tsa tribe arose. The uncle Kyunpakh Tromo rode a turquoise dragon to Gyalrong, from which the root lineage of Gyal Kyung arose. The mountain where the sons of Garuda each departed is also called Kyung Thorla. From their lineage, many who went to the pure land of the sky-goers appeared, such as Lha Kyun, Mu Kyun, and Kyun God Tokla Bar. There were also unbroken lineages like the precious lineage of Gyer Nam Zu Tse. And many Vidyadharas abiding in the world, such as Kyunpakh Tromo and Dampa Kyung Gom. As prophesied, eighty siddhas will appear among the birds, such as the well-known figures like Milarepa and Kyunpo Naljor, as well as those who hold the secret treasury of profound treasures, such as Tulku Lodan Nyingpo and Tokden Tashi Gyaltsen, and those who manage many monasteries and sanghas, such as Rangdrol Lama Lodro Gyaltsen and the great siddha Shawa Rangdrol. Among them, Nangchen Drakpa Gyaltsen, a descendant of the Gyal Kyun lineage, was revered as the lama of the great Gling monastery, and his descendants settled in Ronggyap. From this arose Kyunpo Lama Namkha Ozer, Rinchen Lhundrup, Tenpa Namgyal, Tenpa Lhundrup, Tsultrim Choklek, Nyima Tenzin, and others who were learned and accomplished, but later, due to the vicissitudes of time, the lineage almost died out. It is said that Kyunpo Lama Yungdrung Tenzin was my physical father. As for the time of my birth, it was the Water Bird year of the fourteenth Rabjung (no specific Gregorian year), and my mother seemed to have had some good dreams, but I don't remember them very well.
