While the Khenpo and the monks are sitting on the ground, as soon as the recitation of the Pratimoksha is finished, the worker says to the summer owner: 'Monk named so-and-so, you, you all, etc. will be appointed. Are you willing to assign summer dwellings to the Sangha?' In response, he says, 'I am willing.' Then the worker says, 'Since he is willing, in order to appoint the assignment of dwellings, we will perform the request and two karmas, so please the Sangha follow the procedure. First, please pay attention to the request karma.' Venerable Sangha, please listen. If the Sangha is willing to have the monk named so-and-so assign summer dwellings, if it is the Sangha's time and it is permissible, please let the Sangha allow it. The Sangha appoints the monk named so-and-so to assign dwellings, and the Sangha assigns the summer dwellings to the monk named so-and-so. This is the request. Please pay attention to the statement including the conclusion. Venerable Sangha, please listen. The Sangha is willing to have the monk named so-and-so assign summer dwellings, and for this purpose, if the Sangha is to appoint the monk named so-and-so to assign dwellings, then those who are content with the appointment of the monk named so-and-so to assign dwellings, let them be silent. Those who are not content, please speak up.' The Sangha has tolerated and allowed it, the Sangha has appointed the monk named so-and-so to assign dwellings, and since no one speaks, it is decided in this way.' Thus he speaks.
