Opening remarks, etc. So! Nowadays, the oral transmission of these and similar Dharma categories no longer exists, and only these handwritten scriptures have been found. In general, the Seven Precious Transmissions, as well as the actual words and sayings of the three wise and accomplished ones, are definitely the root of the Shangpa Dharma, so they should be cherished like wish-fulfilling jewels. If any content worthy of supplementation is found later, please be sure to add these contents. The works of Sangye Pälwa and Drolchok Zhap, etc., even without oral transmission, are listed here because they are early transmission texts with great significance. The biographies of the transmission lineage starting from the wise and accomplished Shangtön are mostly handwritten copies, and some have oral transmissions, but for the reasons mentioned earlier, they are not listed here. Although the blessing catalog written by Ngawang Chödrak is important, there is no need to copy it twice because there is a newly compiled text. The guidance text of Suka written by Khyenrap Chöje, and most of the excellent teachings such as the Nigu guidance cycle written by Jamyang Khyentse, have had their oral transmissions disappear, and copying is just a waste of effort, and the need for teaching, practice, and realization will not arise. Third, regarding the Six-Armed Wisdom Protector: The accomplished Khyungpo heard limitless Dharma teachings from the Lord Maitripa (Sanskrit Devanagari: मैत्रीप, Sanskrit Romanization: Maitrīpa, Chinese literal meaning: Maitreya), Ra hulagupta (Sanskrit Devanagari: राहुलगुप्त, Sanskrit Romanization: Rāhulagupta, Chinese literal meaning: Rahula Gupta), Pandit Rolpai Dorje, etc. Teacher Chökyi Sherab and most of the disciples also received corresponding transmissions, so the holders of the Shangpa lineage all regard him as the sole Dharma protector, and the Dharma system is vast and boundless. The most important of these are the Upper Tradition or Nyening Tradition transmitted from Könchok Khar in the upper region, and the Lower Tradition or Rigong Tradition transmitted from Wöntön Kyergangpa to Mokchokpa Rinchen Tsöndrü and Shang Gom Chöseng, the latter of which was transmitted from Gadanpa Teacher A-yi Sengge to Phagdru and other places. The transmission of the upper, middle, and lower parts of the wise and accomplished Jagpa is especially prevalent in the Gelug school. The Lho Drak transmission of the wise and accomplished Samdingpa, etc., has countless traditions. Although there are many kinds of Dharma, they are mainly summarized into two: fierce subjugation and peaceful.
