If one can also constantly maintain unwavering diligence in remembering at all times, both in meditative equipoise and post-meditation, then distraction will not harm. The former masters said: If the mind is devoid of conceptualization, even if the body is in a bustling market, it will not be harmed. Nowadays, there are few who can focus solely on non-elaboration, and even fewer who are capable of it. Therefore, instead of being attached to only one aspect, it is better to do whatever is beneficial to one's own mind, without stagnating or being too indulgent. This is the sign of remembering the Dharma from the depths of one's heart, and such practice will become firm and unwavering. In general, in meditative equipoise, cut off all elaborations; in post-meditation, take all elaborations onto the path. This practice of liberating one through the other is very profound. Or, sometimes, simply abide in the nature of mind itself; sometimes, combine it with generation stage and recitation; sometimes, diligently practice mind training. Do not be attached to any of these. If one can manage to not be separated from faith, admiration, the intention of illusion, or anything else, then that is a practice that will definitely benefit one's own mind. In general, Secret Mantra relies on the profound path of the guru. In particular, the Dagpo Kagyu is renowned as the lineage of faith and devotion. It seems that the masters of the lineage attained liberation through that path. However, ordinary beings like myself, who only have the verbal lineage without any loss, have not become the source of the arising of the blessing of the actual lineage. If one can regard the unequaled Dagpo Rinpoche and the root guru as inseparable and pray to them, then faults will be reduced and qualities will increase, as the protector, the lord of the three realms, has said. There seem to be some differences in the explanations and practices regarding the mala, but there also seem to be some similar sources of pith instructions. Even without immediate auspicious circumstances, it is not that there is no method of practice. Most of these kinds of situations are later exploited by the eight worldly concerns, so whatever is available is sufficient. If one can be certain of obtaining a qualified transference of consciousness (phowa), even if that person is destined to be born in a lower realm in this life, by the greatness of the Secret Mantra method, the door to the lower realms will be closed in that life, and they will obtain the body of a god or human. In that life, by entering into virtuous actions, obscurations will be gradually purified, thereby grasping the path to liberation. This view seems reliable. However, it seems that a qualified transference of consciousness, with completely consistent outer, inner, and secret signs, rarely occurs, or perhaps does not occur at all. The path of transference...

Because the word "liberation" is misunderstood, some people think that "liberation" is like attaining Buddhahood. Let alone attaining Buddhahood, ordinary people without practice do not even dare to hope for rebirth in pure lands and celestial realms. However, the meaning of the word "liberation" is broad, so here it should also be understood as temporarily liberating from the suffering of the lower realms. As for whether everyone who makes aspirations to be reborn in Sukhavati can be reborn, no clear evidence has been seen in Chinese texts. Among Tibetan people, Labdrön, Kunkhyen Dolpo (Tukdrubpa the Great), and later Karma Chakme, etc., were all convinced that they would be reborn. In particular, Dolpo Buddha explained this in detail with scriptural and logical proofs, as well as oral instructions. The cause for being born there is past good roots, especially to single-mindedly remember Amitabha (འོད་དཔག་མེད,梵文:अमिताभ,Roman transliteration: Amitābha, literal meaning: Immeasurable Light) and the adornments of the pure land, and to make uninterrupted aspirations, which seems to be the fundamental meaning. Although ordinary people who have not abandoned afflictions are not qualified to be born in pure lands, the aforementioned people believe that (they) will be able to see Amitabha in the bardo, and immediately abandon the obscurations of afflictions, and thus will surely be born in the pure land. Kunkhyen (Omniscient One) When Kunkhyen Dharmakara answered questions, considering that people's aspirations nowadays are merely verbal, he said that rebirth is difficult, which also seems to be true. The Sutra also says that the cause for fulfilling the aspiration of the pure land is that it is necessary to have ten kinds of Bodhicitta, but few can have these. Moreover, the Buddha did not prophesy that many people would be reborn in Sukhavati from this world. However, in reliable ancient terma texts, it is said that reciting one hundred million times the six-syllable mantra (Tibetan: ཡིག་དྲུག,梵文:षडक्षरी,Roman transliteration: ṣaḍakṣarī, literal meaning: six letters) can be reborn in Sukhavati, etc., which is related to the view of the Sutra. Since this is the Vajra speech of the Second Buddha of Oddiyana (Guru Rinpoche), if a person with good merit makes aspirations with unwavering faith, then it will surely be accomplished, which is also established by logical proof. In general, by the power of the vows of all Buddhas Amitabha Pure Land, if one makes aspirations with unwavering and firm faith, then in the future, it will surely become the near cause for being born in that land.
