Acting as an assistant to the path of the Khakhyap, effortlessly obtaining all supreme and common siddhis, as stated in the "Supreme Tantra of Samaya": "Those who desire siddhis and have faith, siddhis arise from pleasing the Lama." Thus it is said. Fourth, relying on the basis of conducive conditions, there are four: place, time, equipment, and companions. First, regarding the place, it is said in the "Klongsal": "In empty valleys, snowy mountains, mountaintops, charnel grounds, or caves, in extremely secluded, clear, high, and cool places, a place where fortunate individuals practice, meditation increases and stability is quickly attained." As it is said, the place for practice should generally be agreeable to the mind, free from harm from enemies and thieves, with little distraction from the comings and goings of people and noise, a place where the land is auspicious, the local deities are inclined towards Dharma, and blessed by Lamas, Dakinis, and past accomplished masters. Snow mountains, forests, rocky mountains, etc., naturally purify the mind, and the land is high. It is said that the eastern radiance is stolen and the western rays are gathered, so the sun rises early and sets late, making the days long. The water is gentle and the scenery is pleasing. One should practice in a place where all favorable conditions are easily obtained. Second, regarding the time, one must engage in auspicious times such as good times, dates, planets, and stars. Especially, the time for practicing Tögal: "Late summer, autumn, early winter, and spring, the time of the two rays is said to be supreme." As it is said, at this time, due to the balance of coolness and warmth, there are fewer causes for dullness and drowsiness. In particular, the two rays of sunrise and sunset become a cause for the arising of wisdom, so it is said to be the time of introduction, therefore one should conform to this time. Third, regarding equipment, living equipment such as food, drink, clothing, and bedding; supporting equipment such as samaya substances; necessary equipment such as vajra and bell; favorable equipment such as medicine and auspicious substances; and special equipment such as empowerment items and torma offerings. In short, for whatever reason, one should not need to be busy at those times, but should gather everything beforehand, as it is said: "Handprints, flowers, empowerment items, torma offering supplies, seek the support of the elements during practice, be complete with all favorable equipment." Thus it is said. Fourth, regarding companions, one should have someone with experience in practicing the profound path, or, even if not, someone who possesses a peaceful and gentle mind and pure samaya.

Pure appearances arise. Because afflictions are few and compassion is great, one should rely on being unwearied in arranging favorable conditions. This is stated in "Vast Expanse of Clarity." Secondly, there are five points in elaborating on the actual instructions of the guidance method: the history of generating certainty, the empowerment that ripens, the guidance that liberates, the fruit arising from meditation, and the distinction of incidental practical applications. The first point is, as stated in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "For the sake of generating certainty in the fortunate, the history of the lineage shall be told." Therefore, there are three: the Victorious Ones' Mind Transmission, the Vidyadharas' Symbolic Transmission, and the Personal Oral Transmission. The first is that in the primordial realm, from the nature of all dharmas, the expanse of primordial purity free from all extremes of elaboration, the Bhagavan Glorious Samantabhadra, Father and Mother, arose as spontaneously accomplished wisdom bodies and, to the assembly of their own self-appearing retinue, the five regent families and the princes and bodhisattvas, etc., they taught the Great Perfection, which transcends sound, words, actions, and effort, in a manner beyond expression, as equality in all times. The second is that the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, in a charnel ground blazing with fire, taught the nature of reality, the very nature of phenomena, which transcends action and effort, with a beautiful combination of words, to the supreme emanation body, Garab Dorje. He (Garab Dorje) in the great cool charnel ground, the Grove of Coolness, taught the nature of phenomena, which transcends action and effort, to the master Manjushrimitra. He, in the charnel ground of Sosa Ling, directly brought down the vidyadhara Shri Singha upon himself and taught. He, in the great charnel ground of Cool Bestowal, taught the master Jnanasutra the manifestation that transcends mental discrimination. He, in the great charnel ground of Bhasim, taught the great translator Vairochana Mitra, in the manner of wisdom's upward transference, through gestures and symbols, the state that is free from realization of reality, which is the Vidyadharas' Symbolic Transmission. The third is that the great translator Vairochana himself bestowed the unsurpassed secret instructions as oral teachings to the king and Nyang Tingdzin Zangpo, etc. Nyang Tingdzin Zangpo, in order to prevent the lineage's precepts from declining, entrusted the oral transmissions to Dro Rinchen Bar and Se Lodro Wangchuk. Considering future disciples, he concealed the ritual texts in Uru Shazha.
