The four root downfalls concerning important matters, and as stated in works such as the 'Compendium of Disciplines,' not abandoning the mind of enlightenment. If one abandons it, then by abandoning the aspiration mind, even for the three trainings, it is the heaviest of all root downfalls. But now, most of the reflections of practitioners like myself are diligent in abandoning it, because it is said that even abandoning one sentient being will turn into that. The secondary transgressions are eighty, and so on, limitless. The second has two aspects: as stated in verses from the 'Twenty Verses of the Bodhisattva Grounds,' there are four root downfalls and forty-six secondary transgressions. Second, the precepts for practice, in brief, are the six perfections or the three types of discipline. Once the precepts are taken, one must definitely know and practice these precepts. If you ask from where to know, the teacher Shantideva said, 'Precepts appear from the sutras, therefore one should read the sutras. In particular, the Sutra of the Essence of Space should be looked at first.' As said, the sutras in general, and in particular the 'Ten Wheels of the Essence of the Earth,' the 'Essence of Space,' the 'Great Liberation Sutra,' and so on, and the 'Chapter on Discipline,' the 'Twenty Verses,' the 'Collected Sutras,' the 'Bodhisattva Grounds,' the 'Collected Trainings,' and so on, the Indian treatises, and the Tibetan treatises that explain the three vows, should be well examined, and the benefits and faults should be known in passing, so that when needed, they can be used, and one does not become like a fool blindly grasping. If you wonder what will happen if the precepts of practice are broken and not corrected, by deceiving the teacher Buddha, the sentient beings to be tamed, and oneself, both purposes are lost and one becomes an object of blame by all. Many inauspicious things will happen in this life, and at the time of death, one will suffer from regret. In the next life, one will fall endlessly into the lower realms and it will be difficult to be liberated. In particular, the root downfalls will exhaust all previous roots of virtue and one will definitely be born in hell. If one cannot keep the Pratimoksha vows, it is said that temporarily offering the precepts is a practice, but if one offers the Bodhisattva vows, the fault is very heavy, so if one has not taken the Bodhisattva vows, it ends there. Once taken, one should protect the precepts as much as possible, and if broken, there is no other way than to correct them. That is, if the day and night are divided into six periods, if a downfall occurs in the first period of each, if one recovers with remedies at the end of that period, then the discipline will be completely pure.

English

If the transgression does not exceed the limit of confession, even if root downfalls occur repeatedly, they can be restored through confession. If it exceeds the limit of confession, confession alone cannot restore it, and the precepts that precede restoration must be repeated. Not to mention having complete Bodhisattva vows.

It is able to cut through obstacles. As it is widely said, like praying and confessing to the noble Akashagarbha, he will purify the root downfalls and so on due to the power of his past aspirations. Therefore, it is advised to diligently strive in this. In the scriptures, although it is only said to be a remedy for the Madhyamaka school, it is only intended to consider the source and connection from which the teachings of that school come from. In reality, not only the faults and downfalls of the Madhyamaka school's teachings, but also the inconceivable realm of activities of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, especially the deeds of purifying all sins and downfalls, can be known by reading the sutras. Nagpopa said: The superior person confesses with emptiness, the intermediate person confesses to Akashagarbha, the deity of general mantras, and the inferior person confesses to a person or one who possesses the four powers. This is also a measure in terms of meaning. Secondly, it is said that although the sutras are said to be like that, there are no instructions now, so even if practiced, they will not produce results. In general, most of the sutras that are not related to the tantras do not have secrets, so it is enough to practice them as they are in the words. If one is able to do it with faith and diligence, the ultimate result will definitely not be wasted, and signs will definitely arise. Just by reciting the Eight Thousand Verses and the Abhisamayalankara with one-pointed attention, the ultimate realization of suchness will arise, and many relics will turn into relics. And Kunkhyen Tenpai Nyinje built a mandala according to the meaning of the Great Nirvana Sutra, and performed the ritual without sleeping for seven days. He clearly saw the Buddha and the Shravaka retinue coming to the row of offering tormas, showing the rare practice of the Dharma. Moreover, the blessings of the Medicine Buddha Sutra ritual and the Sthavira ritual are clearly recorded in many histories. And this method has instructions, that is, from the Indian Eastern Pandit Purnavajra, the venerable Savior Lord received this method, and performed recitation and confession rituals, and offered prayers at dawn. At the end of the seventh night, in a pure appearance, a Tibetan monk with white skin and a gentle demeanor, wearing a blue silk robe, said: You should start confessing now. Common confession Lama Dor
