Please recite the six-syllable mantra together. Om Mani Padme Hum. (Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum) It is said that in the recitation lineage, one can recite one hundred and six times or other appropriate times. Therefore, recite the six-syllable mantra as much as possible. Third, at the end of the meditation recitation, one's own mind has the essence of clear and empty awareness, the great compassion of the meaning of Dharma nature, and the three bodies are naturally endowed from the beginning. In all stages of the base, path, and fruit, the self-face of the Tathagatagarbha is universally present. With innate awareness, look nakedly without the existence of the observer and the observed. Free from the conceptual mind of modification, negation, and affirmation. Do not be attached to the experiences of bliss, clarity, non-thought, etc. Completely cut off the activities of conceptualization and clinging to form. Even if the activity of conceptualization arises, let it naturally subside and naturally liberate in the state of primordial Dharma nature, and abide in the state of non-proliferation. Third, the subsequent activities: If you want to rise from meditation, visualize yourself again as the image of the noble Avalokiteshvara, and that it has no self-nature. For all beings, including enemies, friends, and neutrals, do not take or abandon them with the three poisons of greed, hatred, and delusion, but regard all manifested images as the nature of the noble body, all sounds as the self-sound of the six-syllable mantra, and whatever good or bad thoughts arise, determine them as great wisdom, do not taste the flavor of thoughts, but be amazed at the nature of the thoughts that arise, and abide in it, that is, without separating from the yoga of the three key points. For the parent sentient beings who regard illusions as real, generate universal love and compassion, and in the manner of illusion free from clinging to reality, strive to do good deeds through the three doors of body, speech, and mind as much as possible. All these roots of virtue, in the manner of the superior three wheels being completely pure, the intermediate mind of unreal illusion, and the inferior intention of emulating all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, dedicate them for the benefit of sentient beings, please do it together. Relying on the roots of virtue done in this way, may I and all parent sentient beings attain Buddhahood. And, with this virtue, may I quickly attain Avalokiteshvara. And so on, expand with pure dedication and aspiration. This is the profound order of the meditation lineage.

Oh, it has been well heard. How is the visualization recitation performed? Like this, it is surrounded by the order of four excellent sessions. The medium-level meditation recitation has one uninterrupted session. The benefit of practicing all of this with a seven-day limit is: sins and obscurations are purified, compassion and realization arise, vast benefit for others is accomplished, and one is born in Sukhavati and quickly attains enlightenment, etc., which cannot be exhausted by words, because all the sutras, tantras, and treatises say so. Therefore, for this easy and meaningful instruction, practice it single-mindedly for your own benefit, and explain and spread it to others, even to the ears of small creatures like ants, proclaim the name of Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara and the six-syllable mantra, and pray that samsara will be uprooted, and that all those who are connected will have meaning, and that the excellent path of spontaneously accomplishing both benefits will be brought to fruition. With this merit, may all beings see, etc., and conclude with dedication and aspiration. Just remembering the meditation recitation purifies the obscurations of the five heinous crimes. Especially, the one protector of the snowy land, Avalokiteshvara. By clearly explaining the instructions for practicing this, may all beings who see, hear, remember, and touch, in the realm of Infinite Light, be blessed by the protector of the world, and may all his biographies be accomplished. This is also because of remembering the nectar-like words of the venerable Manjushri, who possesses unconditioned compassion. The six-syllable mantra (Tibetan: ཡིག་དྲུག་,Sanskrit Devanagari: षडक्षरी,Sanskrit Romanization: ṣaḍakṣarī,Literal Chinese meaning: six characters) Bodowa Lodrö Thaye clearly explained the meaning of the root mantra, compiled the essence of the mother and son instructions of Chagzam, and wrote it with superior intention in Palpung Hermitage. May the benefit for others be equal to the sky. May goodness and prosperity increase! The recitation manual for the Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara meditation recitation of the near lineage of the accomplished master Thangtong Gyalpo, called "Essence of Sutra and Tantra," is complete. Homage to the Guru Great Compassionate One! Here, to practice the uncommon Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara meditation recitation of the near lineage of the great accomplished master Chagzam, first, taking refuge: In the sky in front of oneself, on a precious throne, on a lotus and moon cushion, the essence is the root guru, the form is the protector Avalokiteshvara, surrounded by a gathering of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, abiding as if actually present. And all sentient beings equal to the sky take refuge in the Guru Buddha Jewel
