Having eyes that are vast, the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times are urged for the benefit of sentient beings, hence the first two hands are joined in prayer at the heart. As a symbol of the continuous flow of compassion, the second right hand holds a crystal rosary of one hundred and eight beads in the manner of counting them. Because it is not stained by the mud of self-interest, the second left hand holds an eight-petaled white lotus, complete with stem, open near the ear. A fine silk skirt of the nature of shame and modesty, adorned with a belt decorated with jewels, is worn. Compassion and emptiness are united, seated in the vajra posture. Adorned with eight precious ornaments, which are the nature of the eight liberations. Possessing the demeanor of great compassion, the left breast is covered with a deer skin. In order to show the object of prayer, one's own lama, Amitabha, is beautifully adorned on the surface of the hair knot. The heat of suffering is pacified by the cool rays of great compassion, with a backdrop of a spotless, full moon. Root and lineage lamas, yidam deities, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abide as the essence of the assembly. I and all sentient beings of the six realms pray with great reverence, please recite this (prayer): Noble one, stainless, body white in color, the complete Buddha adorns the head, with eyes of compassion gazing upon beings, I prostrate to Avalokiteśvara. Please recite this prayer as much as possible. If desired, also recite the vajra speech blessing prayer that the accomplished one offered to Avalokiteśvara when he took birth as the monk Padma Karpo, and the lineage prayers. Secondly, after praying in this way, immeasurable rays of light emanate from the body of the noble one on the crown of the head, touching all vessels and contents, purifying the appearances of impure karma. The outer world becomes a palace, and all sentient beings become the nature of the noble one's body, inseparable from emptiness; speech becomes the self-sound of the six-syllable mantra, inseparable from emptiness; mind becomes the play of wisdom, inseparable from emptiness. That is, the three appearances, sounds, and thoughts are transformed into the three mandalas, in the vast expanse of samadhi that pervades the sky.
