Offering everything without reservation to the Lama is the ultimate of all methods for accumulating merit. Through this alone, one attains a samadhi free from attachment to all things, and that samadhi transforms into the liberation of the noble Samantabhadra. In this way, by offering without duality between the object of offering and the offerer, one also accumulates the ultimate accumulation of wisdom. Furthermore, one should diligently engage in the Mandala offering to the Lama, as described in the "Guru Puja: The Source of All Qualities," or in a condensed manner. This is called learning to accumulate merit. Then, there is the blessing of secret mantra. Blessing arises from devotion. Since devotion is easily attained through prayer, the method of praying is as follows: Visualize the root Lama as the embodiment of all Lamas of the three times, like the sky filled with clouds, or like a wish-fulfilling tree with branches and sub-branches spreading out, which is the long-lineage visualization. Visualize the Kagyu Lamas as pearls strung on a pearl necklace, meditating on them in layers, which is the close-lineage visualization. The Lama is the embodiment of all Lamas, the essence of the Three Jewels, the Yidam with retinue who are the support of the mandala, the Dakinis who bestow blessings, and the Dharma Protectors who dispel obstacles—this is the all-encompassing precious jewel method. In all three times, in this life and the next, do not seek refuge in any other protector, but place your mind solely on the Lama. Entrust your help solely to prayer, and practice solely with devotion, then all wishes will be fulfilled as desired, without any doubt. If afflictions and thoughts arise, at that time, blend the Lama with your own mind without separation, and transform whatever arises into the melody of prayer, thereby naturally pacifying itself—this is the prayer of pacification. When the elements are disturbed, causing suffering, unpleasantness, or when strong obstacles caused by non-humans occur, visualize the Lama at your heart smiling gently, and yourself also smiling joyfully. Visualize all appearances as the Vajra smiling form of the Lama. By completely immersing your mind in the melody of prayer, faults are naturally liberated. Appearances become clear, become soft, and the power of qualities will increase without partiality—this is the prayer of increase. Upward, with devotion, subdue the Lama and the Three Jewels; downward, with compassion...

Supplication for Empowerment by Subduing Sentient Beings of the Six Realms: Thoughts are disturbed by this life, bound by the eight worldly concerns. At that time, one did not restrain oneself from practicing Dharma. Like the Guru and the Three Jewels, practicing Dharma, a shameless person who deceives with sweet talk, such shame and so on. Wanting to abandon those faults, not just in words, but from the depths of one's heart, making earnest prayers, therefore it is called the Guru and the Three Jewels, a fierce supplication like a honey pill. This is to learn to pray regularly. Second, the actual practice of learning both maturation and liberation is divided into recitation, practice, and action. First, the outer practice is the recitation of prostrations, the inner practice is the recitation of supplications, and the secret practice is the recitation of mantras. The first is: From the point where the sky and earth meet, circling around, the Eleven-Faced Avalokiteśvara, possessing a thousand hands and a thousand eyes, standing, with an extremely peaceful demeanor. In his heart is a meditation chamber, a one-faced, four-armed Avalokiteśvara, with the right hand in the supreme generosity mudra, and the left hand holding a white lotus, sitting in a half-lotus posture. One in the heart, one like looking at an image in a spotless mirror. In his heart is the self-arisen (deity). Then, within that protective circle, in the sky in front of oneself, བྃ་ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) transforms into a vast ocean. In the center is a lotus stem, like a wish-fulfilling tree, the center where all desirable glories are completely fulfilled. ལཾ་ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) transforms into the realm of Samantabhadra, its arrangement inconceivable. In each and every atom, it also shows as many realms as there are atoms. The Guru lineage and everything else is the totality of wisdom. The Guru's heart is the Yidam deity, the peaceful and wrathful Buddhas. Speech is the sacred Dharma. Body is the Sangha, appearing to fill everything. With sincere intention, praying to the glorious and holy Guru's mind, the essence of all three vajra realms, the form of great bliss, Heruka Vajra Buddha. Speech is the Dharma of the nature of vajra mantras, mudras, mandalas, and so on. Body is the Sangha of yogis and yoginis residing in the vajra circle, until reaching the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge. Taking refuge, generating the mind (of enlightenment).
