It's like being born from a young girl's womb. If combined in any way, it is combined through the three: appearance, increase, and attainment. It seizes the gap between the cessation of the previous thought and the non-arising of the subsequent thought. On the path, it is guided by the six dharmas of Tilopa, which are: do not think, do not contemplate, do not analyze; do not meditate, do not remember, rest in the natural state. By meditating in this way, whatever appears arises as emptiness, like clear light. At the boundary of external objects, the mind's reality arises without obscuration, it is the Clear Light Mother. Recognizing this is the union of the Clear Light Mother and Son, or the blending of the path and nature into one. Secondly, the method of blending the path and nature at night is: Open the lotus of the heart, in the center of the four petals, meditate on Anuttara Hūṃ (ཨ་ནུ་ཏ་ར་ཧཱུྃ,अनुत्तर हूँ,anuttara hūṃ,Supreme Hūṃ). Or, on the aggregates, elements, sense bases, etc., with the two wisdoms, gather them all together now. Whoever falls asleep, having become great emptiness, will see dreams by the power of the wind. Therefore, first enter deep sleep. It's like the ocean not being stirred by waves. The way of combining is through the three: appearance, increase, and attainment of entering sleep. What is seized is the gap between the cessation of daytime thoughts and the non-arising of dream appearances. On the path, it is guided by the key instructions for combining meditation and sleep, which are: pray to the lama to attain clear light, generate strong aspiration, lie down on the right side when sleeping, lie down like a lion. Visualize the body as a deity, in the center of the heart lotus divided into four petals, visualize Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,हूँ,hūṃ,Hūṃ), in front visualize A (ཨ,अ,a,A), on the right visualize Nu (ནུ,नु,nu,Nu), behind visualize Ta (ཏ,त,ta,Ta), on the left visualize Ra (ར,र,ra,Ra). As you gradually fall asleep, all appearances and sounds dissolve into yourself. Dissolve into those four lotus petals. Then, as sleep deepens, dissolve into the A (ཨ,अ,a,A) in front, then into the Nu (ནུ,नु,nu,Nu) on the right, then into Ta (ཏ,त,ta,Ta), then into Ra (ར,र,ra,Ra), then into Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,हूँ,hūṃ,Hūṃ). The hook under the Hūṃ, Ha (ཧ,ह,ha,Ha), then dissolve into the crescent moon, then into the bindu, then into the nada, and then rest in the clear light without any object of focus, this is the yoga of subsequent dissolution. Or, focus solely on the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,हूँ,hūṃ,Hūṃ) syllable in the center of the four lamps of Anuttara, this is holding the bindu. Thus, the state of not being asleep is appearance, the deepening of sleep is increase, entering sleep is attainment. Then, the arising of the clear light of deep sleep is the Clear Light Mother. By resting without contrivance, with and without objects of focus, the stages of dissolution arise as emptiness, like a son meeting his mother with whom he was familiar in the past.

Recognizing the clear light of the ground of being is called the union of the mother and child clear light. Third, explanation in the bardo. Third, the clear light of the result is: from the clear light, the illusory body of wisdom purified, like a fish leaping from water, or like awakening from sleep, arises the Vajradhara, which is the union of learning with the basis of training and the means of training, which are the twelve bhumis, such as the Extremely Joyful. The subtle form is light to the touch, and the pervasiveness, true attainment, complete illumination, stability, and the power to transform at will are called the eight powers. Thus it is said. The exhaustion of the basis of training and the means of training is the great Vajradhara of the non-learning, the complete and perfect Buddha, possessing the power of body and speech, and the mind and miraculous powers that pervade all realms, the ability to generate whatever is desired, and adorned with qualities. These are the eight powers of the result. Thus it is said. Fifth, in the bardo. First bardo, the path of clear light dharmakaya. Second, the path of union sambhogakaya. Third, the path of taking rebirth nirmanakaya, and the three. First bardo, the path of clear light dharmakaya is: appearances dissolve and gross dissolves, thoughts dissolve and subtle dissolves, after the dissolving, habituation, and naturally clear light will arise. After that, the union body will appear in two forms, namely learning and non-learning. Once it becomes non-learning, it is said to have attained the result. This means that death comes first. The example is shown by the stainless sky. The juncture is combined with the three of appearance, increase, and attainment at the time of death. The point is to hold onto the cessation of thoughts in this life and before the thoughts of the next life arise. On the path, awaken with the key instruction that makes the path and nature one. That is, the winds of the five senses, such as the eyes, dissolve into the body, causing the appearance of form to disappear, which is the dissolving of appearance. Then earth dissolves into water, and the body's energy is lost. Water dissolves into fire, and one feels thirsty, and the mouth and nose become dry. Fire dissolves into wind, and warmth disappears. Wind dissolves into consciousness. At that time, those with negative karma will experience the suffering of cutting off the life force. Those who practice virtue will be greeted by gods, gurus, and dakinis. Then, the external breath ceases, which is the dissolving of the gross. After that, in the beginning of the existence of the internal breath, is the stage of the dissolving of thoughts, the external sign is like the rising of the moon. The internal sign is like smoke, which is the stage of appearance. After that, it dissolves into increase. Mind
