In the bardo, transforming into the illusory body of union, one attains the complete enjoyment body. As it is said, recognize death, meditate on oneself as the deity, then with recollection or holding the pills, remember the clear light. Then, with the three appearances of reversal as the cause, the result is the Buddha who arises as the Vajradhara of union. Third, taking birth, the path of the incarnate body is: In the second bardo, if one makes offerings on the path, there are four fearful sounds, which are the sound of a mountain collapsing from earth wind, the sound of ocean waves churning from water wind, the sound of fire spreading through a forest from fire wind, and the sound of a thousand dragons roaring at once from wind of wind. If one is afraid and runs away, then wherever one enters is the womb. The three terrifying precipices are: falling into any of the white, red, or black abysses, that is the womb. The path of purification, the path of five lights, such as the white path. If one goes there, one enters the womb. Furthermore, the appearance of bindus and tiny bindus, being chased by heavy rain, wrathful deities and wrathful mothers showing fear, and so on, occur. Being led away by life-cutting executioners, and entering an iron chamber is hell. Hiding in tree stumps and mounds is the realm of hungry ghosts and animals. Drowning in a lake where swans play is the Eastern Continent. Being adorned with cows is the Western Continent. Being adorned with horses, one is born in the Northern Continent. Seeing a mansion where parents are having intercourse is the Southern Jambudvipa. Seeing a heavenly palace and entering it is a sign of taking birth. Because there are many confused appearances, one seeks a womb. It is called the time when a gandharva seeks a place of birth in the womb. Practice: Abandon all appearances of attachment and aversion, connect with the eye of mindfulness, engage in the union of choosing a womb, and by transferring consciousness with manifest joy, one will be born in the place one desires. As it is said, if one remembers all fearful appearances as illusion, then bad wombs are blocked. If one remembers emptiness and the guru-deity, then bad wombs are blocked. Then, thinking of a good womb, of high and noble lineage, wealthy and endowed, having the fortune to practice Dharma, taking a body with such thoughts is called the incarnate body of taking birth. Because of great familiarity, even if one has not directly realized the clear light, one will be born in pure lands such as Sukhavati and Abhirati, and become a non-regressing Bodhisattva. Sixth, in transference, the best is to transfer to the Dharmakaya, the medium

The three bodies of Sambhogakaya, Nirmanakaya, and the final taking of rebirth. First, the supreme transference to Dharmakaya is the manifestation of clear light in the first Bardo. Second, the intermediate transference to Sambhogakaya is the arising of the Yuganaddha body in the Bardo. Third, the final one is the taking of rebirth. Since all three are established as the result, this pith instruction of taking the path is not different from what is to be practiced. Here, it teaches what is called the transference of consciousness of the Lama. First, having practiced the vase breathing, with twenty-one purifications of breath, from the place, forcefully draw it up, meditate on the twenty-one chakras of the upward lotus within the central channel. From one chakra to the next. Upward and downward, the seed syllable. Practice the half letter and two letters. With the forceful utterance of the "Ah" sound, entrust the consciousness to Sukhavati. When the time comes, one should transfer. Thus it says, the two, practice and application. First, the practice is to generate the mind of enlightenment. Meditate on oneself as the solitary Vajrayogini. In the middle of the karma, straight like a pillar of an empty house, like that, visualize. On the top, like an open sky, at the crown of the head, visualize the Lama Vajradhara in an empty form, within the wisdom central channel, and one's own two joined together. At the heart of the Lama, a blue Hum(ཧཱུྃ,hum,hūṃ,Destroying meaning)syllable, and at one's own heart, the essence of consciousness, like a written Hum(ཧཱུྃ,hum,hūṃ,Destroying meaning)syllable. Practice vase breathing. Visualize the hook at the foot of the Hum(ཧཱུྃ,hum,hūṃ,Destroying meaning)syllable at the heart of the Lama stretching out, entwining the essence of consciousness at the heart, and being drawn upwards. When exhaling, with the sound of "Hik", make twenty-one pauses in one breath. Visualize that the Hum(ཧཱུྃ,hum,hūṃ,Destroying meaning)syllable reaches the crown of the head. Descend with the sound of "Ka". Practice until the signs appear. Second, at the time of applying it to practice, dissolve into the heart of the Lama. Visualize the Lama going to Akanishta, and remain in a state beyond thought. This is the transference of Puri Bodhicitta. Encouraged by the great Lhatsun of Ngari Gangkar, written by the learned monk Pema Karpo. Collected Teachings, Volume 10. Notes on the Condensed Six Dharmas.
