Therefore, generate the conviction of knowing how to fear, because (everything) is inseparable from (emptiness). Even if this does not subside, then at the time of fear, where is the mind of the fearful one? At the time of the fearful one, where is the fear? After observing, cut off the root of the mind, and recite PHAṬ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning: ཕཊ, phaṭ, phaṭ, 啪), and abide in equanimity in the state of non-inherent existence. In this way, first strive to cut off the bed, and when you are slightly accustomed to it, in a quiet and auspicious cemetery, gradually diligently practice secret conduct in terrifying and awe-inspiring places, initially generating displeasure, in the middle abandoning, and finally directly seeing the signs of accomplishing the supreme siddhi. Fourth, mainly the four empowerments path of Mahamudra guidance sequence, although there are some slight differences, but here like the profound path four-letter Dharma. First, cutting off the root of the mind is: in a secluded place, the body is endowed with the seven-fold posture of Vairochana, the key point of speech is that the breath remains in its natural state, the key point of mind is to practice from refuge and bodhicitta to guru yoga, and pray intensely. After that, receive the four empowerments, and in the state of blending mind and wisdom, decide that all phenomena are merely manifestations of one's own mind like a dream, and do not chase after past thoughts that have passed beyond that, do not welcome what has not yet come, do not cling to present awareness, abide in its natural state, without clinging to it, when a thought suddenly arises, observe where this thought first arises from, where it stays in the middle, and where it finally ceases, if you see that it arises from your own mind and dissolves into your own mind, then for the mind itself, also carefully observe and analyze the three of arising, dwelling, and ceasing, shape, color, one and many, etc., because it does not exist anywhere, but manifests anything, although it can be experienced, it transcends thought and speech, at this time. Second, the method of indicating the abiding of the mind is: on the basis of such realization, there are six methods to make the non-abiding mind abide, like a garuda soaring in the sky, in the unadulterated nature, abide without effort, like the ocean without waves, abide without the movement of thoughts, like the sun and moon without clouds, the mind itself abides in the clear light without losing its radiance, like a young child looking at a temple, clear but without clinging to it, like water and waves, all arising sensations

Everything is left in a state of self-liberation. Just as a bird flies in the sky, awareness is settled in a state of tracelessness. In short, experiencing one's own mind as inexpressible, settling in that state of insight without acceptance or rejection, is calm abiding. These two are inseparable, which is union, and one should never be separated from this path at all times. Third, cutting off the wrong paths of the mind is: hoping for the Buddha above, fearing samsara below, clinging to emptiness as real in between, being attached to inner experiences, disregarding the law of karma, etc. All clinging to reality is a wrong path. Therefore, all phenomena included in appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, are merely imputed by one's own mind, and there is no separate entity apart from that. Moreover, that mind itself has no nature whatsoever, and the meaning of emptiness and dependent arising, which are unobstructed in any way, is realized. In the ultimate truth, one does not cling to anything, and in the relative truth, one should properly accept and reject even the subtle causes and effects of karma. Fourth, showing the path of the mind has six aspects: the yoga of increasing appearance during the day is: in this way, all appearances are increased as illusions of one's own mind. The illusion of the mind is unrecognizable, and it is increased as like illusion and dream. Illusion is also without self-nature, and it is increased as the unborn nature of reality. The yoga of taking desirable objects as companions at night is: all one's own desirable objects are enjoyed with emptiness in emptiness. One enjoys in the way that the nature of reality dissolves into the nature of reality. In the middle, one enjoys illusion with illusion. One enjoys in the way that wisdom dissolves into wisdom. Finally, one enjoys in the way of offering tsok and puja to the lama yidam. The yoga of gathering the four senses at dusk is: one stares directly at the self-nature of whatever arises as perceptions of illusion. One settles the mind in the state where the proliferation of examination and thought is liberated in its own place. The yoga of putting consciousness into a vase at midnight is: at night, on the lotus sun and moon cushion in the center of the heart, one visualizes the lama Vajradhara, from whose body rays of five colors radiate, illuminating all appearances, becoming clear and bright. One sleeps with the mind focused on this, and sleep will arise as clear light. The yoga of clarifying awareness at dawn is: at the time when wind and awareness are clear, for the general dharma and one's own characteristics, and especially the lama's instructions, etc.
