There is not. This bardo of the nature of reality is like pointing a finger and saying the Buddha is here. Where is such a thing? It exists between the two consciousnesses, before and after. The previous consciousness ceases and passes away, the subsequent consciousness is not cut off; the subsequent consciousness has not arisen, so it does not greet the arrival of the future. Between the two consciousnesses, before and after, without relying on any present consciousness, it is impossible to think with the mind, impossible to express with words, impossible to symbolize with metaphors, unite with the unborn Dharmakaya, and abide in that state. Just do not be distracted from the thought of abiding and not abiding. In the interval between previous and subsequent thoughts, do not let the thief of conceptualization and the demon of practice arise, practice in short sessions and many times. Because it does not touch the previous and the subsequent, it is the bardo; because it is separated from the support, it is the bardo; because it does not rely on anything, it is the bardo; because it is separated from the thought of conceptualization, it is called the bardo. Like that, in the bardo of consciousness, do not be distracted from the object, do not cling to thoughts, and let consciousness abide in a state of non-action. Like that, the bardo of the nature of reality, which is free from the mere thought of abiding and not abiding, is not matter, but self-awareness; not a thing, but without color and shape; not non-thing, but appearing as anything; not permanent, but empty in essence; not annihilation, but self-luminous; without self, if examined, it does not exist; not without self, but possessing the nature of freedom from elaboration; without end, but free from clinging; without center, but devoid of dependence; impossible to symbolize, so without metaphor; not without metaphor, but like the sky; impossible to express in words, but free from terms; not free from words, but the source of all speech; the sky is the empty of non-awareness, the nature of mind is the empty of awareness, the essence is empty, but exists in various characteristics, abide in it without interruption. There are six methods of abiding in it: without relying on anything, abide like the sky; without interruption, abide like a river; without an object of focus, abide like a flower in the sky; luminous, abide like the essence of the sun; unpolluted by faults, abide like a lotus; thoughts dissolve into the nature of reality, abide like mist. Like that, when various thoughts arise, know that they are the manifestation of the power of awareness, the realm of clear light. Because the nature of mind has no darkness of ignorance, it is clear light.

Since emptiness and appearance are inseparable, it is union. Like bird tracks, without attachment to past and future thoughts, it is the bardo. Since it is the root of all dharmas, it is self-awareness. Since it manifests without a body, it is the Dharmakaya. Since all needs and desires manifest, it is the wish-fulfilling jewel. Knowing the bardo in this way, one should generate the fierce power of awareness and not be separated from the subtle experience. If separated from the subtle experience, although it seems like high realization, the mind does not gain freedom, so one should not be separated from the recognition of the Dharmata bardo. Second, the bardo of dream remembrance has three aspects: the remembrance of the past, like the cessation of Dipamkara Buddha; the remembrance of the future, like the appearance of Maitreya Buddha; and the remembrance of the present, like the appearance of Shakyamuni Buddha. Without attachment to past and future thoughts, resting in the recognition of non-dual wisdom, the bardo of dream at night and the bardo of daytime become one, destroying all ignorance with the samadhi of clear light, and the conceptualization of sleep ceases. Thus, one attains the unchanging Dharmakaya, achieves the supreme accomplishment in this very body, accomplishes the task, and lays down the burden. By this, one does not see the bardo of dying and existence, and spontaneously accomplishes the meaning of genuine clear light, which is the samadhi of great bliss. Third, the bardo of existence and dying has three aspects: the superior bardo of clear light, the intermediate bardo of escorting and welcoming, and the inferior bardo of connection. The first has two aspects: the cessation of the appearance of the path, and the appearance of the experience of clear light. The first has two aspects: the dissolution of the gross elements and the dissolution of the subtle elements. The first is: earth dissolves into water, the body cannot support itself, the four limbs fall to the ground, the teeth break, and saliva and nasal mucus flow out. Water dissolves into fire, the mouth and nose become dry, the limbs cannot be gathered, warmth arises more than before, and heat and dust appear. Fire dissolves into wind, the complexion fades, the wings of the nose collapse, the body's warmth contracts, contracting upwards if going to higher realms, and downwards if going to lower realms, and one cannot recognize people. Wind dissolves into consciousness, a loud roaring sound is emitted, breathing becomes rapid, the eyes roll upwards, and the hands wave. At that time, the inner light of one's own mind appears, the eyes roll upwards, and one begins to hiccup. Thus, at the time of the dissolution of the four elements
