Secondly, contemplate the great benefit. If you think, although leisure is difficult to obtain, what is the use of obtaining it? In fact, the benefit is very great. Because relying on this body of leisure, one can accomplish the high realms of future lives (good destinies), the extinction of the lower vehicle (Hinayana Nirvana), and the omniscient Buddhahood, so the benefit is very great. As it says in the Letter to a Friend: "The basis of the Sugata's path, becoming the means of guiding sentient beings, whatever is obtained by humans with great mental strength, that path cannot be obtained by gods and nagas, asuras, garudas, vidyadharas, non-humans, or those who crawl on their bellies. The human body is extremely difficult to obtain, having obtained it, one should diligently practice, whatever is the thing to be done, one should rely on it and cultivate it." That's how it is. Thirdly, contemplate impermanence. Divided into: 1. Certainty of death; 2. Uncertainty of when death will occur; 3. At the time of death, nothing is of any help. First, if you think that this hard-to-obtain leisure is a permanent phenomenon, so it will last a long time, therefore there is no need to rush to practice the Dharma, then you are wrong. Because leisure has no nature of permanence at all. As it says in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Day and night without pause, this life is constantly decreasing, there is no increase either, how can we not die?" That's how it is. It is certain to be subject to death, some die because the internal and external elements are disordered, some die because of the influence of evil spirits, some die because the guardian deities and others are disordered and become the cause of death, therefore among sentient beings there is no one who will not eventually die. Secondly, if you think that although you will eventually die, you will not die for a while, so there is no need to rush to take the essence of leisure now, then you are wrong. As it says in the Bodhicharyavatara: "To live comfortably thinking that one will not die today is not appropriate." That is to say, because there is no certainty of when death will occur, one must practice the Dharma now. The reason is that the lifespan of sentient beings in Jambudvipa is uncertain, there are many unfavorable factors and few favorable factors, so there is no certainty of when death will occur. As it says in the Abhidharmakosha: "Here there is no fixed lifespan, the longest lifespan is a hundred years." Moreover, the Holy Nagarjuna said: "The factors of death are very many, the factors of life are very few, and those factors of life are also factors of death, therefore one should always practice the Dharma." This is what is said in the Ratnavali. Thirdly, at the time of death, the accumulated in this life
