It is also like a rainbow. Second, cutting off the illusion of clinging to a subject is that joy arises again. As it says, "With extreme diligence in meditation, there is no clinging because there is no grasping," the illusion of the inner clinging mind also disappears. In the clear light of one's own mind, the appearance of light becomes extremely prominent, and an experience arises as if seeing it directly. That is, as it says, "At that time, without interruption, samadhi quickly arises. After that, abandon the distraction of clinging," it is the supreme samadhi without interruption. At that time, although the innate ignorance is not purified, the illusion of the grasper and the grasped that arises from the innate is mostly purified, and the clear light arises. The wisdom of the first bhumi of the path of seeing is easily accomplished without hindrance. For example, like the moon in the clouds, the inner clouds that obscure it also become thinner, and the moon becomes very bright. Again, by meditating with great joy, the basis of the grasper and the grasped, the habitual tendencies of innate ignorance, although not purified, that which appears is purified. The clear light of the nature of one's own mind, free from the grasper and the grasped, gives rise to an appearance of light and confidence as if seeing it nakedly and vividly. That is, as it says, "With wisdom, one knows that there is nothing other than the mind. After that, one also realizes that the mind is also non-existent. Having wisdom, one knows that both are non-existent, and abides in that dharmadhatu of non-existence," the illusion of appearance, increase, and attainment disappears. Its antidote, the three paths of joining in which the appearances of appearance, increase, and attainment arise in sequence, and after that, the great clear light in which the innate ignorance appears clearly but disappears, is only the stage of the supreme worldly dharma. Because the habitual tendencies of innate ignorance are subtle, and even the seeds are not purified, one should not mistakenly think that the real experience of the first bhumi of the path of seeing has arisen. After that, the way in which the wisdom of the first bhumi of the path of seeing arises is that at the end of such meditation, one part of the innate impurity together with the seeds is purified, and one part of the clear light of one's own mind becomes more manifest. That is called the first bhumi, the path of seeing. After that, from this unsurpassed wisdom that transcends the world, the non-conceptual stain

None. Grasping Both dualistic fixations are abandoned and attained. That is the complete transformation of this state. It is said that the ground is the first. Thus it is. For example, like the first day of the month's moon, or like a corner of the moon free from clouds, visibly seen from the expanse of the sky. Therefore, at the time of the ten grounds, the obscurations of one's own mind's luminosity, the portions of ignorance, are gradually purified, and that clarity becomes greater. At the time of attaining Buddhahood on the eleventh ground, it is seeing the unobstructed luminosity of the nature of mind, which possesses both purities. As it is said in the *Entering the Middle Way*: 'Like the sun in the sky seeing clouds, the Buddha sees a portion of wisdom here. Even the noble ones with pure eyes of wisdom do not see all that exists. Bhagavan, whatever dharmakaya you possess, with limitless wisdom, the limitless knowable pervading the expanse of space, all those are seen by it.' And: 'Just as the waxing moon, the moon gradually increases, so those who have entered the grounds, gradually, gradually see increase.' As it is said. Therefore, if one knows the key points of practice with great joy and delight, there is no difficulty in traversing the unmistaken path of the grounds. It is important to keep the guru's instructions in mind. Three, meditating on the union of shamatha and vipashyana: In a secluded place, the body in the seven-point posture of Vairochana, the mind in a state of weariness, renunciation, loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhicitta, making a loud sound of refuge and supplication, and with the faith of devotion, the hairs standing on end. From the two traditions, arising from the nature of reality, with the wisdom of individual self-awareness, a clear and bright determination is made. This is solely vipashyana, individual self-awareness, analytical meditation. That alone is not enough, but on top of that view of individual self-awareness and analysis, meditating as before, one gains a portion of mind-abiding. The view that can draw that view out from the gap of shamatha, that is the practice held by the union of clarity and emptiness, loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhicitta. This is the union of shamatha and vipashyana, the union of skillful means and wisdom, the path of the union of view, meditation, and action is perfected, so one should strive at this for a long time. Also, if the portion of abiding is large but the clarity of individual self-awareness is diminished, then one should awaken in the abiding, drawing out the determination of individual self-awareness and meditating on abiding. Also, if one is not stained with the essence of loving-kindness, compassion, etc., then one should first practice those.
