May I, Sabu, Accumulate vast and pure merits. May all beings pervading the sky, Know their mothers and remember their kindness, And for the sake of repaying their kindness, Relying on pleasing love, And the union of great compassion, May extraordinary higher intention arise in the mind. Especially may my body, possessions, and all merits, Be given to others without any stinginess, And all the sufferings of others, Together with their causes, Be taken upon myself from the heart. Practicing the skill of focusing by combining with the breath, In the realms of friends, enemies, and neutrals, As many sentient beings as are tormented By the suffering of the three poisons, May they all be placed in the three great roots of virtue. In all activities of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, Relying well on the antidote of mindfulness and awareness, May the supreme Bodhicitta, Which accords with the words of aspiration, Be constantly cultivated. When the environment and beings are filled with the fruits of sin, Subduing the root of suffering, self-grasping, And since the accomplishment of Bodhi depends on it, May I contemplate the kindness of all beings from the heart. Having realized the great state of the indivisibility of the four Kayas, Which is free from the three aspects of arising, ceasing, and abiding of illusory appearances, By guarding emptiness with one-pointed meditation, May the phenomena of grasping and the marks of elaboration be pacified in the Dharmadhatu. Accumulating merit, purifying obscurations, offering to spirits, And offering Torma to the Dharma protectors, By countless skillful means such as the fourfold combination, May adverse conditions be transformed into the path to Bodhi. Having established the foundation with projection and perfected the power of habituation, By striving in accumulation and purification and fulfilling aspirations, May all the states of this life, death, and Bardo, Be condensed into the essence of the practice of the five powers. May I be able to master all the well-spoken Dharmas, Which are gathered into one intention, With the experience of my own mind as witness, May I be able to tame my own mind. May Dharma and mind be mingled, with only inner happiness, In all states of meditation and post-meditation, May the practice of the path be firmly established. May I guard the pure three trainings, Abandon trivial behaviors, Generate the supreme Bodhicitta without partiality, Spending time with mindful actions of body, speech, and mind, May I protect the vows of mind training like my own life. May I always have only the thought of benefiting others, Whatever happens, whether prosperity or decline, happiness or suffering, high or low, May I practice the conduct of the Bodhisattvas, May it never be separated and become a helper. In short, may it be from now until the essence of Bodhi.

May we not be separated from the excellent virtuous friend, and may we rely on this excellent path that pleases the Victorious Ones. May we be blessed to accomplish the benefit of both self and others! Remembering these words and their meaning, engage in conduct with single-pointed aspiration. Secondly, how to act in the breaks between sessions: During the breaks between sessions, without separating from the essence of the practice meditated during the actual session, with mindfulness, awareness, and caution, arouse yourself from all sides, ensuring that all conduct does not fall under the sway of negativity or neutrality, but rather passes the time solely with roots of virtue. For example, when meditating on the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity, repeatedly look at the sutras and treatises that explain this, recite the words, and generate certainty. Thinking, 'Now that I have obtained such a good support, I must not let it go to waste, but strive to take its essence through both thought and action,' contemplate this in your mind, speak it in your speech, and put it into practice. It should be understood in this way. If you have generated a little experience and wish to meditate on the complete path in one session, then by properly performing the six preparatory practices, all the preliminary practices are included within the adjustment of motivation. Therefore, focus your mind on the actual practice of the union of calm abiding and insight as long as you can remain there. If you cannot remain there, then meditate on loving-kindness and compassion like illusions, without focusing on beings who have not realized the nature of reality. Focus solely on the object of giving and taking happiness and suffering. When preparing to rise from the session, review the sections from 'Transforming adverse conditions into the path to enlightenment' downwards, doing either an extensive or concise review meditation, and then connect it with dedication and aspiration before engaging in conduct. For beginners, accumulating merit and purification are especially important, so refuge, the seven-branch prayer in general, and especially confession, should be combined with prostrations and mandala offerings, diligently performing them one hundred thousand times each or until signs appear. Then, meditate on the preliminary and actual objects of meditation until you have generated their respective experiences. This mainly follows the Great Oral Transmission of Mind Training, but it is also appropriate to combine it with the 'Collection of Well-Spoken Words' composed by the great Bodhisattva Youthful King.
