Without relying on the Dharma, there is no better place to go than the Buddha. Third, the nature of the teachings given in the manner of concealing and revealing is that, because it cannot be obtained, one does not cling to anything. Because the nature is without bias, one does not cling to the chain of hope and fear. If one examines the characteristics, because it cannot be found, it is called the root of samsara and nirvana rotting. The divisions are two: one is concealing one and revealing two, and the other is concealing two and revealing one. The first is when view and conduct are revealed and meditation is concealed. Then, its nature is union, without beginning or end, so the beginning and end of samsara and nirvana are cut off. Because the nature is not different, the bindu has no inside or outside. Because the characteristics have no dependence, it is causeless and thorough. Again, if conduct is concealed and view and meditation are revealed, because it is emptiness, it is called pure emptiness. If view is concealed and conduct and meditation are revealed, then unobstructed awareness arises without bias, so it is called objectless awareness liberated without support. The second is when meditation is revealed and view and conduct are concealed, then unsupported awareness is revealed without dependence, so it is called the causeless result abiding in itself. If conduct is revealed and view and meditation are concealed, then the body is thrown off a cliff and the mind merges into the nature of reality. If view is revealed and conduct and meditation are concealed, then the mind is placed in emptiness, so it is called the body and speech reaching the essential point. There are very many tantras and agamas of this kind. In some places, the view of space is mainly taught, and others are taught as secondary, like the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra and so on. Fourth, the nature of the teachings given in the manner of self-clarification is that it transcends words and letters and does not abide in any established conclusion. The nature of reality, which is primordially pure, arises spontaneously without bias. The characteristics transcend the mind, so it is free from movement and gathering. The divisions are three: considering delusion as something to be abandoned, reversing delusion to its basis, and the bindu reaching its own essential point. The nature of the first is that delusion is the root of ignorance, laying the foundation for the three realms of samsara. Abandoning it itself cuts off the root of ignorance. Abiding in the original basis of self-awareness, there is no reversal. Because the nature arises in various ways, from the abandonment of causes and conditions, the clinging to objects is cut off. Samsara is the exhaustion of the basis of delusion, called the great perfection of primordial purity. The characteristic is that delusion is self-purifying, so awareness exhausts the path of delusion. The divisions are three: because delusion is cut off, samsara and nirvana

Its essence is the realization that ignorance, the root of delusion, is self-liberated, which is the increase of what has never been deluded from the beginning, transcending delusion and non-delusion. In terms of its nature, each individual delusion has realized the falsity of imputed phenomena, transcending the objects of grasping and being grasped. In terms of its characteristics, recognizing delusion has attained the warmth of non-deluded wisdom. The essence of recognizing the nature of non-delusion by placing delusion in its own place is: firstly, because it has never been deluded, there is no cause for ignorance; secondly, because it does not abide in such delusion, the basis of karma and afflictions is empty; and finally, because delusion is impossible, the boundary between good and evil karma is severed. In terms of its nature, there is no distinction, so samsara and nirvana are one basis in awareness, and delusion is self-liberated. In terms of its characteristics, there is no cause for delusion, so the three realms are completely purified. The essence of the delusion-basis being deceived, so that the wheel of delusion is constantly cut off, is that the cause of falling into samsara is empty, so the basis of non-realization has been corrected. Because its nature is beyond calculation, delusion and non-delusion are not established. Its characteristics are free from the conceptual mind of delusion and non-delusion. Placing the bindu in its own essential point, the single essence is free from elaboration, so there is no one or many. Because its nature is non-dual, it transcends words and names. In terms of its characteristics, it has been introduced, so faith has arisen, and thus it has been decided. Divisions: There are two types: oral transmission and explanatory transmission. Oral transmission, in terms of its essence, is transmitted directly from one to another, so the relationship is close. In terms of its nature, it is connected to the ear sense, so there is no interruption. In terms of its characteristics, there is no error, so it has faith and certainty. In terms of divisions, there are oral transmissions with and without letters, all of which are pith instructions of words and meanings. The essence of the explanatory transmission is that the nature of uncreated phenomena, self-arisen wisdom, has no cause, so there is no basis for reversing in the three realms. In terms of its nature, it is luminous and immaculate, so the characteristics of the five wisdoms are known. In terms of its characteristics, it has transcended conceptual thought, so it constantly abides in the intention of the three kayas and five wisdoms. There are four types of divisions: outer circle, inner circle, secret circle, and unsurpassed secret circle. Firstly, the essence of the outer circle is that afflictions cannot be abandoned, so the five poisons abide on the path. In terms of its nature, there is no effort or practice, so all appearances manifest as the nature of phenomena. In terms of its characteristics, there is no partiality, so emptiness has never been separated from anywhere. The essence of the inner circle is that colored phenomena have no self-nature, so it is the nature of signlessness.
