After purification and collection. From the disputes of the four fundamental schools, the four schools were again collected into one doctrine. The four schools are: the Sarvastivada school, the Mahasanghika school, the Sthavira school, and the Mahasammatas school. The third collection was when, after the Buddha's Nirvana, about three hundred years and nearly four hundred years had passed, in Kashmir, at the place of Jalandhara, in the monastery of stacked flowers, five hundred Bodhisattvas who had attained dharani, five hundred Arhats, and sixty thousand ordinary monks gathered. King Kanishka acted as the patron, and the Bodhisattva Vasumitra of the last existence and the great Arhat Sanskrit Romanization: pūrṇika, Chinese literal meaning: full) collected them. The prayer was also made by the king himself, and the eighteen divided schools were unified in doctrine. These eighteen divisions are: the Sarvastivada school, from which split the Kashyapiya school, the Dharmagupta school, the Hetuvada school, the Bahusrutiya school, the Mahisasaka school, and the Vibhajyavada school, making seven schools. Among these, the prince called Rahula Bhadra, if he had not renounced, would have become the king of the Shakya clan, but because he renounced, he became the best among those who revered the teachings of the Blessed One, and was the lineage of the disciple of the one who was prophesied. The language is Sanskrit (संस্কৃত, saṃskṛta, संस्कृत, perfected), well translated, and consistent with the gods of the Thirty-Three Heavens. The pieces of cloth for sewing the monastic robe are nine or more, and twenty-five or less, increasing upwards except for pairs, and the symbols are উৎপལ་ (Tibetan: ཨུཏྤལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उत्पल, Sanskrit Romanization: utpala, Chinese literal meaning: blue lotus), lotus (पद्म, padma, पद्म, lotus), and jewel patterns. The Mahasanghika school, and from it split the Purva Saila school, the Haimavata school, the Prajnaptivada school, and the Lokottaravada school, making five schools. The root Khenpos of these schools were ordained from the Brahmin caste, and were called the Great Kashyapa Sthavira, who was the best among those who were proficient in learning and merit, and was the lineage of the disciple of the one who was prophesied. The language is Prakrit (प्राकृत, prākṛta, प्राकृत, natural; vulgar), the dialects of each region. Consistent with the gods of the Clear Light. The pieces of cloth for sewing the monastic robe are nine or more, and twenty-three or less, increasing upwards except for pairs, and the symbols are Sanskrit Romanization: svastika, Chinese literal meaning: auspicious) and auspicious knot patterns. The Sthavira school, residing in Jetavana
