Thus, it arises from such a state. Thus, in all realms of the world, countless categories of Dharma are established. Briefly, in this Saha world, which abides in the Good Aeon, adorned with flowers as its foundation and essence, where a hundred million sets of four continents and Mount Meru appear, how did the categories of Dharma arise, and its fame is immeasurable. From the formation of the first aeon until now, through the blessings of the Bhagavan Glorious Samantabhadra, he emanated as Vajradhara in the Akanishta realm. To the immeasurable arrangement of retinues such as Vajrapani, he taught the Great Vehicle, the ocean of secret mantra Vajrayana. Vajrapani and others manifested in the realms of gods, nagas, yakshas, and so on. Many dakinis, siddhas, and vidyadharas held it, and it was expanded in their respective realms. It was written in palm leaves and books and offered. From the teachings of the great secret, such as the Kriya Tantra of the manifestation of a thousand Buddhas, to Shakyamuni Buddha, and what is spoken by those who have faith in the Buddha. The Great Vehicle secret mantras spoken by the Buddhas of the past were held by dakini-siddhas who have power over life, from the realms of gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, and so on, even to the land of Zahor in Jambudvipa, Mount Malaya, the flaming iron mountain, where dakinis hold and reside. In Oddiyana, Simhala, Shambhala, and other places, the tantras reside. The great teachers Nagarjuna, Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, and others invited them, and they spread in India and Tibet, and many great siddhas appeared. Among the categories of Dharma that appear in this way, the ways in which they are known in Tibet today will be briefly explained, and there are two: the common, which shows the general tenets, and the uncommon, the essence of clear light Vajra. The first has two: a general explanation of how the Dharma arises, and a specific explanation of the tenets of the various schools. The first also has two aspects: the appearance of the teacher Buddha, and the nature of the Dharma. The first, according to the Hinayana, is that our teacher has passed through countless eons.

Before that, one wishes to generate the mind of enlightenment from the great Buddha Shakyamuni. In the Vinaya Sutra, it says: 'How is your body, O Sugata? How are your retinue, the measure of your life, and your pure land? How are your excellent and noble marks? May I also quickly attain such.' From then on, one accumulates merit for three countless eons. First, one pleases fifty-five thousand Buddhas; second, one pleases sixty-six thousand Buddhas; third, one pleases seventy-seven thousand Buddhas. In the Vinaya-vastu, it says: 'From the guide Protector of the Land up to the perfectly enlightened Vipashyin Buddha, I offered to a complete fifty-five thousand Buddhas, and at that time I had no weariness. From the Buddha Well-Made onwards, up to the Buddha Dhvajagra-ketu, I offered to a complete sixty-six thousand Buddhas, and at that time I had no weariness. From the Buddha Dipankara onwards, up to the Buddha Ratna-sikhi, I offered to a complete seventy-seven thousand Buddhas, and at that time I had no weariness.' The Abhidharmakosha says: 'Vipashyin, Dipankara, and Ratna-sikhi appeared at the end of three countless eons. The order is the reverse of this; the first is Shakyamuni.' Finally, one becomes enlightened through the twelve deeds, and wishes to abide in the peaceful realm of reality after passing into nirvana without remainder. Therefore, having accumulated merit for three countless eons gathered by the path of accumulation, on the Vajra Throne, one attains all five paths—the path of accumulation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of no more learning—on a single seat, which is the same as the sharp-witted Pratyekabuddha. As it says there: 'The teacher and the rhinoceros-like enlightenment, all are at one end of meditation.' Moreover, that the bodhisattva of the last existence is said to be an ordinary being, it also says there: 'Even if not a noble one, for parents, the sick, and those who speak the Dharma, and for the bodhisattva of the last existence, merit is immeasurable.' Some common ones of the Mahayana also first generate the mind of enlightenment, accumulate merit in three countless eons in between, and finally, just as one becomes enlightened in this Jambudvipa through the twelve deeds, one also wishes to manifest a common body in this world of endurance and perform deeds for the benefit of others. Qualities.
