The so-called "View of Cutting the City" refers to cutting off the city of the womb, thereby not regressing in the three realms, and attaining Buddhahood in this very life. Among them, due to the difference in faculties, the superior ones attain Buddhahood in this very life, the intermediate ones attain Buddhahood in the bardo, and the inferior ones attain Buddhahood in the self-nature nirmanakaya. As it is said in "Sun and Moon Union": "The superior ones do not need two lives, the intermediate ones are in between two lives, the inferior ones exhale their breath, and the nirmanakaya liberates their own continuum." Second, regarding the method of "Abiding like Mount Meru" in its instructions: everything is decided by view, without modification or adulteration, placing appearance on appearance, placing awareness on awareness. In this way, the intent of all vehicles is gathered here, and in this state, the meaning of everything is seen, while others cannot see this meaning. For example, from the top of Mount Meru, one can see the low valleys at the same time, but from the valley, one cannot see the top of Mount Meru. Similarly, from the perspective of the Great Perfection, the spontaneously accomplished original liberation, one can realize the wishes of the nine vehicles as one's own system, while other vehicles cannot realize this intent, thereby perfecting the great state of complete liberation of the three realms. As it is said in "Six Spaces": "On the mind itself that can be seen, sentient beings and the environment arise as one, the three realms are liberated in their own place, Ati is the great perfection of self-abiding. On the mind itself that can be abided in, the self-abiding appearance arises as the basis, in the view of great abiding, it is perfected in the way of no seeking." Third, its intent is the complete liberation of the three realms: when viewed by a yogi who has realized this, there is nothing that is not liberated, because from the beginning, it transcends bondage and liberation, seeing the groundless self-appearance great light as the nature of dream or emptiness. Thus, it perfects the intent of the Great Perfection of space equality. As it is said in "Six Spaces": "On the mind itself without arising and feeling, in the appearance of unthoughtful insight, the intent of exhausting going and coming, Samantabhadra I have taught. On the mind itself without grasping, in the unobstructed pure appearance, the samadhi of great bliss, Samantabhadra I have taught. On the mind itself without clinging, in the self-arisen great light, the unobstructed non-conceptual intent, Samantabhadra I have taught. On the mind itself without pain, in the appearance free from self-grasping, the intent of the great perfection of self-abiding, Samantabhadra I have taught."

Oh, I have declared. In the mind-essence that is without permanence or annihilation, the appearance of being free from good and evil is the view of being free from acceptance and rejection, thus Samantabhadra I have declared. In the mind-essence that is without acceptance or rejection, the appearance of impartial self-liberation is the view of vast expanse, thus Samantabhadra I have declared. So it is. Fourth, the result of purifying the afflictions in their place is that at that time, the afflictions are not abandoned but do not remain, and the place is purified like clouds clearing in the sky, or like the turbidity of water clearing. Initially, there was no delusion. Now, it does not abide in delusion. Finally, it arrives at the basis where delusion is impossible, hence it is called one who has abandoned the Dharma. Also, from that very source: In the mind-essence that is the appearance of Dharmata, bliss and self-grasping are purified in their own place. In the mind-essence that is the appearance of self, all thoughts of attachment are purified in their own place. In the mind-essence that is the appearance of selflessness, being apart is purified in its own place. In the mind-essence that is the appearance of contaminated, the arising elements are purified in their own place. In the mind-essence that is the appearance of uncontaminated, the stains of delusion are purified in their own place. So it is. This is the result of teaching the view. The fourth meaning, the yoga of continuous practice on the result, has four aspects: the result of naturally pure nature, the instruction for that is the method of placing awareness at ease, the view of the three existences being primordially pure, and the result of the natural liberation of afflictions. The first is: like a king who occupies the throne and does not change, the people are subdued and do not change, and the ministers are imprisoned and do not change, there are three. The first is: for example, just as a royal lineage is empowered from the crown of the head and occupies its own kingdom and does not change, so awareness occupies its own place and does not change from Dharmata, therefore it occupies its own place. The second is: when a king wages war on a country and subdues the people, just as the king and subjects, together with their retinue, have no place to change, so the basis for the arising of the five consciousnesses is empty, therefore there is no name for samsara. The third is: if a virtuous minister of a king is imprisoned by the king of another country, that king must also listen to what the king of the other country says, just as the movement of the mind consciousness is cut off, so the planning awareness obtains autonomy. The result of the meaning does not revert to the cause, like the fruit of the acacia tree, it is not like something that arises from effort, but is the meaning of abiding in that way from the beginning.
