In the unborn, vast expanse of equanimity, because there is no interruption in the state of equanimity, in the nature of awareness, bodhichitta, everything is equal in being unborn, unceasing, and unstaying. There is not the slightest wavering from the view of no coming and going. As it is said in the *All-Creating King*: 'Unthinking equanimity, suchness itself, in itself, there is not a speck of manifestation.' And as it is said in the *Six Spaces*: 'I am unseparated, undifferentiated appearance. What is beyond me is my realm. Because there is no separation in action and conduct, the three times are equal in suchness. My realm is without object, free from the basis of thought.' That very principle, in the spontaneously accomplished vajra realm of great equality, the nature of reality is unchanging, and the essence is one. From the beginning, awareness is taught as being endowed with the fortress of the vajra essence. The spontaneously accomplished, impartial, all-pervading, expansive fortress. The fortress of the vast expanse of primordial space, without top, bottom, or middle. The impartial, all-encompassing, unborn dharmakaya fortress. The unchanging, spontaneously accomplished, precious secret fortress. The fortress of samsara and nirvana, primordially complete in one taste. Since all awareness abides primordially as pure, self-arisen wisdom, there is not even a particle of dharma that has been transformed into something else. Confusion, and the nature of pleasure and pain, are all completely free from afflictions, karma, and the enemies of ripening. Since there is no realm of demons and wrong paths, all dharmas are primordially enlightened, and the fortress is built in the great equality of the vajra realm. As it is said in the *Perfection of Skill*: 'The great, vast bodhichitta, unchanging, beyond thought and words, in the fortress, build a vajra castle, which can never be destroyed, free from faults.' And: 'Self-awareness, the vajra, blazes everywhere. The signless vajra, self-appearance blazes. Blazing, fearless, the great empty vajra. Subtle and coarse, stainless, the vajra blazes intensely. Emptiness, all-pervading, the great vajra crown. Limitless vajra, uncontrived, the nature is complete.' And as it is said in the *All-Creating King*: 'The causal nature, the vajra, is like a condition. Because it is unborn, there is no destruction. From the beginning, in the essence of bodhi, the thought of seeking does not move the sphere.' Such awareness itself, when combined with the king's perfect realm and dharma in accordance, on the ground of the dharmadhatu, establishing the palace of the self-arisen essence, is impartial.

On the universally pervasive and vast ground, the palace of bodhicitta, undifferentiated between samsara and nirvana, the summit of the expanse of dharmata is lofty and towering, in the center of the unmade, self-arisen, four-directioned vastness, the entrance gate, free from sequential effort, is exceedingly wide. The essence of the naturally pure essence has no establishment, refutation, or artificial corruption, and because it is the basis of all things, it is in accordance with the ground. In neither samsara nor nirvana is there limitation or partiality, so it is like a palace free from naturally occurring boundaries. The center of dharmata is vast and immeasurable, so it is only said to be lofty and towering. From the beginning, it transcends the four extremes of action and permanence, and its nature is that of the four-directioned vastness. The gate through which the most intelligent enter is the gate that transcends sequential effort, cause, and effect, and the gate that is naturally established is called the palace of dharmata bodhicitta. The nature of these is from the Sixth Expanse: Unfabricated wisdom, completely pure; Unfabricated color, unmixed, clear; Unfabricated non-duality, the state of emptiness; Unfabricated self-arisen, the expanse of awareness. And from the All-Creating: The gate is entered through the gate that cannot be found. The adornment and arrangement of that palace are: In that place adorned with the arrangement of spontaneously accomplished wealth, the self-arisen wisdom king sits on the throne. All the powers of wisdom that appear as gathering and scattering, having become ministers, rule the country. With the self-abiding contemplation, the sacred queen, and the spontaneously arising son and servants, great bliss pervades, self-luminous, without conceptualization. Therefore, the self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished awareness is the arrangement of the palace, the form and wisdom are inseparable, and all dharmas are complete. From the Letterless: I have no outer or inner, therefore, the clear dharma is completely perfect. I have no emptiness or substance, therefore, the appearing dharma is completely perfect. So it is said. Thus, the essence of the spontaneously accomplished essence is the self-arisen wisdom, like a king who does not move from his throne. In this essence, the self-abiding, self-nature contemplation has never been separated from awareness, like a queen. Having realized its meaning, the warmth of realization is naturally present, like a son and servants. From the state of awareness, the knowledge that radiates its own power onto objects is like a minister governing the country.
