Therefore, seeing whatever appears as the play of self-arisen wisdom, like the reflection of a face in a mirror, one realizes that what is seen in the outer world is the play of awareness, merely an empty form without birth. Because the nature of reality is pure like the sky, one sees it as inseparable from the nature of one's own awareness. Whatever appears is the play of empty form and awareness, and whatever changes is primordially enlightened, leaving no trace. Because it is equal in the nature of reality of the three times, one is liberated in the great state of non-action and beyond mind. Therefore, it is called the time when the teachings of acceptance and rejection are exhausted. As it is said in the Transcendent View: "The intention does not move from one taste. Appearances are clear on the basis of appearances. Like a face and a mirror, liberation is liberated in and of itself. In that self-arisen empty realm, seeing and awareness are not different. It is liberated in its own place. By knowing one thing, all are liberated, so the limit of two and three is exhausted. The object of thought and grasping does not appear. Movement and grasping are empty from the beginning. Because the intention of emptiness is clear and complete, the limit of many is exhausted." So it is said. For the yogi whose realization arises from within, it is taught that whatever arises is liberated into the nature of reality without choice: Let whatever happens happen, let whatever appears appear. Let whatever arises arise, let whatever is be what it is. Let whatever is be what it is, let whatever is not be what it is not. There is no difference in awareness, because it arises from the state of one awareness, so there is no good or bad in the ground. Because everything that arises is nothing other than the power of awareness, there is no good or bad in the essence of power. Because it is already liberated by arising, if it is not grasped, it will naturally dissolve, so there is no good or bad in its essence. Whatever arises or appears is an appearance that does not exist in the ground, so it is already empty. Because there is no establishment, refutation, or doubt, it is like water in a mirage, and there is no need to grasp with the mind what is clear and apparent without existence. Therefore, for the yogi, there is no choice of acceptance or rejection for any object or mental thought, because it is understood as one taste in the groundless, dharma-exhausted, nameless state. It is expressed in terminology as "beyond limits." As it is said in Self-Liberation of Awareness: "Appearances are empty of the dharma of things. Emptiness is beyond the dharma of signs. That which is beyond cannot be expressed." So it is said. For the yogi who realizes total liberation without attachment, there is no fixed conduct, and he acts in ordinary, natural appearances: Conduct is unfixed, awareness transcends the peak, dharma and non-dharma are

Because there are no calculations, it transcends the box of the dependent-free, emptiness-doctrine. Eating, dwelling, sleeping, and sitting, the days and nights are equally spread out, it is the natural state of equality of self-nature and Dharma-nature. There is no god to worship, nor a demon to strike. There is no Dharma to meditate on, it is the ordinary, natural state. The un fabricated king, without arrogance, is equally one, it is the relaxed, free, natural, and unique one. Unmade, primordially accomplished, free from effort and practice, it is bliss. Here, for those who abide in Dharma and the path, if they turn away from the ordinary and spend their days and nights with various busy Dharma activities, then what can be accomplished by abiding in the ordinary? If so, aren't worldly people and yogis no different? It should be understood in this way: one is because they have not studied Dharma from the world itself, and because Dharma is not in their mind, they are free from Dharma activities; the other is because they have realized that Dharma is unmade and primordially accomplished, so their mind is at ease, because they have accomplished Dharma, abandoned Dharma, and transcended Dharma, so there are no Dharma activities, and they appear naturally ordinary. Furthermore, worldly people are bound by the world, and their minds become weary, but yogis do not have these, so it should be known that they are not the same as ordinary worldly people. If they were the same, then just as ordinary people wander in samsara, yogis would also fall into confusion. Because they are free from the actions of the three doors, there is no Dharma of confusion, and the ordinary appearance is thoroughly enlightened into emptiness, so there is no bondage, and they are liberated from karma and its ripening. For example, a burnt hemp rope, although it looks like a rope, cannot perform the function of binding, it is produced from being burnt by fire. Similarly, in the mind of a yogi, because of emptiness, wisdom appears as affirmation and negation, although it appears to hold food, clothing, and wealth, because they realize it is like a rootless dream and do not cling to it, so it cannot bind. But worldly people do not have these, because they cling to self-characteristics, their minds are bound, just like a rope that has not been burnt by fire, in their inner mind and outer appearances, affirmation and negation are freely present, so they are bound. Therefore, in the presence of the Lord of Yoga, he said: Whatever you are attached to, let it go. If you realize it, everything is it, no one can know anything else besides that. And also the subsequent advice: Appearance cannot bind, attachment can bind. Naropa, cut off attachment! Like that. For ordinary people, to abandon wrong thoughts is to accumulate merit.
