It is also not another meaning like the Hearers, but it appears to the mind in this way due to the power of habitual confusion. Therefore, they believe that the defilements to be abandoned are conventional truths. The ultimate truth is that when the conventional truth itself is analyzed by reason, because there is no self-nature of one and many, there is no existence or non-existence, yes or no, establishment or non-establishment, etc. Any elaboration of the Dharma exceeds the scope of thought, so as before, they believe that it cannot be established as not established. As it is said in the Two Truths: This conventional appearance, if examined by reason, nothing can be found. Not finding is the ultimate truth, the Dharma-nature that has always existed. And as it is said in the Diamond Sutra: Dharma-nature is not knowable, because it cannot be known by the discriminating consciousness. The former sutra also says: The knower of existence and non-existence, even the all-knower has not seen, what is its nature, examine it with extremely subtle view. The way to realize it is that by examining with wisdom, there is nothing to be grasped, this is the ultimate truth. Each individual realizes it with their own wisdom, in a way that nothing is seen. As it is said in the Mother Sutra: Seeing in a way that no Dharma is seen is seeing the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus, by knowing the meaning of the two truths, in the conventional truth, accumulate the accumulation of merit with appearances, and in the ultimate truth, accumulate the accumulation of wisdom without appearances. In the end, manifest the two bodies, and for one's own benefit, attain the Dharma-body free from elaboration, and for the benefit of others, manifest the illusory form-body. In this way, benefit sentient beings as long as samsara exists. Moreover, after equipoise, act with illusory wisdom, but in the ultimate truth, there is neither a Buddha nor a benefactor, because it is beyond the limits of elaboration. The following says: The ultimate truth is considered to be illusion and emptiness. Here, because it is beyond existence and non-existence, both are not accepted. The conventional truth is considered to be illusion and reality. Here, the falsehood itself is also like falsehood, only arising from causes and conditions, interdependence, this is the difference. Refuting this: In name, it is acceptable that causes and conditions appear as illusions, and that the ultimate truth is not considered to be different from things. However, it is unreasonable to consider the appearing things to be true and false. For example, the water moon and the sky moon

Because it appears from conditions, and appears to the eye consciousness, and is equally unestablished upon analysis. The moon in the sky itself lacks the component of particles, and is also refuted by the reasoning of momentariness, time, and the absence of beginning and end. Therefore, the appearance of something nonexistent is similar to the moon in water, which is unreasonable. There is also no difference in what appears to the consciousness deluded by habitual tendencies. If it is said that there is a difference in the ability to perform a function, that the moon in the sky dispels darkness, but the moon in water does not, then the one-sided analysis is the same. If so, just as the moon in water is characterized by itself, the moon in the sky should also be unable to perform a function, because the function that appears in a pond cannot be performed by the moon in the sky, since it is the moon in the sky. Therefore, apart from the mere appearance of performing a function, the moon in the sky cannot perform a function in all respects. Thus, all things are similar to the moon in water. As it is said in the *King of Samādhi Sutra*: 'Just as the moon in the water at night, appears clear and without impurity in a lake, the moon in the water is empty and without essence. Know that all phenomena are the same.' Thus, although it appears to arise from the appearance of dependent origination of cause and conditions, it is not reasonable to assume that it arises solely from others. If arising from others is established in conventional truth, then arising from oneself will also be established. If it is said that this is impossible because it is not possible to arise when oneself is established or not established, then arising from others is also impossible, because if the cause has ceased, then arising would be without a cause, and if the cause has not ceased, then it would arise from permanence, and thus would not arise. Furthermore, things that arise simultaneously cannot be established as the produced and the producer, and arising from continuity is not established because the encounter is blocked. Therefore, it is only unestablished. Thus, the arising of the result from the cause is only an appearance, and in the nature of things and in conventional truth, there is no self or other, so arising from that is not established. However, the appearance of arising from others is also an illusion, and since it does not exist in reality, it should also be known that arising from others is not established. The mere appearance of arising from cause and conditions is not denied, as it is said: 'How the appearance itself is not denied, here the cause of suffering, the thought of truth, is to be reversed.' We also do not deny appearance, but to assert the existence of other-arising is incorrect, because for the appearance itself, the analysis of self and other has not been applied, and there is no conventional term of arising or not arising.
