If measured, since no dharma can be established by measuring and analyzing with time and encounter, constancy and momentariness. If it is said that it is not true in the nature of illusion, but illusion is true in illusion, it cannot be refuted by reason. The very commitment in the ultimate truth is a commitment to be analyzed. Since it is not composed of dust, etc., illusion is not established in the ultimate truth, so it cannot be committed to. It is not the ultimate intention of the Buddha, as it is said in the Sutra Requested by Brahma's Special Mind: If in the teaching, one finds falsehood or truth, that becomes holding a view, and there is no difference from the heretics. And in the Compendium it says: As the sky is seen, so should this meaning be examined. And in the Ratnakuta Sutra it says: Monks, the ultimate truth is one, the dharma that does not deceive, Nirvana. All conditioned things are false, having the nature of deception. The teacher also said in the Root Verses on the Middle Way that it transcends the two ways of illusion and non-illusion: All conditioned things are deceptive, therefore they are said to be false. Aryadeva also said in the Four Hundred Verses: What does not accept existence, non-existence, and both, even after a long time, nothing can be criticized. Therefore, there is nothing true or false in nature. Also, some teachers, such as Shantipala, think that illusion is not the ultimate truth, because everything that appears is born from conditions in the conventional, so it is true in appearance, but nothing is established in the ultimate truth. As it is said in the Holy Sutra on the Two Truths: In the conventional, it is the nature of things, but in the ultimate, nothing is seen. And in the Mother Sutra it says: In the ultimate, nothing is completely established. Therefore, it is not emptiness in the conventional, because it can function, so it is true in each object of the senses. It is emptiness in the ultimate, because nothing is established. The reason is that the characteristic of the ultimate is analyzable, and the characteristic of the conventional is unanalyzable, so they are contradictory, so the two, truth and falsehood, cannot be one, so it is not a subject and a property. If it is, like conventional impermanence, the conventional

Or, would your claim fall into the fault that the ultimate truth is also impermanent? Or, just as the nature of the ultimate truth has no arising or ceasing, the conventional truth also has the fault of not arising or ceasing. Therefore, all appearances and discriminations are conventional truth. Correct conventional truth is like one moon, which does not deceive in its nature; false conventional truth is like the appearance of two moons, which deceives in its nature, thus distinguishing. Because the ultimate truth is not established in any way, there is no distinction. Therefore, the two truths are not phenomena that are included in one entity, so it cannot be said to be the nature of a subject. Because the appearance of self-nature is conventional truth, it is a subject; the nature of emptiness is the ultimate truth, which is established by mutual dependence. The above is what was said. To refute this, there are three: impossibility, inability to be an object of thought, and inability to find an opportunity. First, emptiness that is not an appearance is impossible in both truths. Because it cannot appear to anyone, it is without form, and form is also not in conventional truth, just like blocking space. Second, because it cannot be an object of thought, it also cannot be the meaning of thought. If it is the nature of knowledge, speech, and measurement, it will become false. If it is not the nature of these things, it is impossible, so it cannot be realized. Merely realizing all appearances as emptiness does not eliminate obscurations. Clinging to differences is not suitable as an antidote, just as knowing that space is empty is of no use to someone who has generated hatred towards an enemy. Clinging to the false basis of appearance as true, and separately realizing emptiness, is of no use at all, so there is no need for realization. Third, the opportunity for emptiness to exist will also fall into the fault of not being found. Because space appears to pervade, there is no opportunity from any of the ten directions where there is no appearance. It is also impossible to realize through knowledge, because it can never be found from mental appearance, discrimination, and non-discrimination. Moreover, the object of thought is also the mental appearance of the thinker. Therefore, the ultimate truth that is different from conventional truth is unreasonable. In the *Heart Sutra Commentary*, it says: "Apart from conventional truth, the ultimate truth cannot be seen. What is emptiness is conventional truth. What is conventional truth is emptiness." Similarly, the essence of the two truths being one is also refuted by that (statement). Being different is also negated. In the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*,
