After the empowerment and taking the vows, the Klong Gu (Tibetan: ཀློང་དགུ་), the two hundred thousand sections of tantras, empowerments, instructions, etc., were completely entrusted at the very last moment. Empowering Garab (Tibetan: དགའ་རབ་) himself, making him the lamp of the teachings. Entrusting the oath-bound ones to be companions of the yogis and to diligently protect the teachings. Thereupon, the incarnate Garab Dorje (Tibetan: དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ་) himself, at the very last moment, effortlessly awakened to Buddhahood in the realm of the Great Perfection, becoming one in mind with all the Buddhas of the three times. In general, he comprehended all the teachings of cause and effect without exception. In particular, he comprehended the effortless perfection without exception. The Klong Gu, the two hundred thousand sections spoken by Kunsang (Tibetan: ཀུན་བཟང་), and the branch tantras spoken by the five victorious ones and the secret lord, as well as the explanatory tantras and branches. There is one called the incarnate Garab Dorje, who possesses the marvelous essence of the teachings, called Ati Yoga (Tibetan: ཨ་ཏི་ཡོ་ག་). Because there is a method to effortlessly attain Buddhahood in an instant, it was prophesied that he should record this and become the collector of incarnations. Other panditas said that there is a dharma higher than the dharma of cause and effect, considering this very unreasonable, so they discussed refuting it. At that time, the Brahmin Essence Accomplisher (Tibetan: བྲམ་ཟེ་སྙིང་པོ་གྲུབ་པ་), even though he knew, discussed going to refute it in order to elicit the incarnation. Afterwards, the panditas discussed who should go, because the land of Oddiyana (Tibetan: ཨུ་རྒྱན་) was far away and difficult to reach, and no one else would go, so they designated Essence Accomplisher and Tuwo Raja Hasti (Tibetan: ཐུ་བོ་རཱ་ཛ་ཧས་ཏི་) and seven others. These seven went to Vajra Cliff Cave (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་གླིང་ཕུག་) and met the incarnate Garab Dorje. In order to test him, they proclaimed the greatness of the vehicle of cause and effect and engaged in debate. First, they debated the dharma of cause, the three pitakas, but they could not overcome Garab. They debated the dharma of result, the outer and inner mantras, but they could not overcome him. At that time, the panditas held the position of the vehicle of cause and effect, while the incarnate Garab Dorje held the position of Ati, which transcends cause and effect, and engaged in debate. As a result, the seven panditas could not overcome him. Dechog Nyingpo (Tibetan: བདེ་མཆོག་སྙིང་པོ་), even though he knew, asked the other panditas whether or not to ask the incarnate Garab Dorje for a dharma that transcends cause and effect.

It showed the way to discuss with them. Some Panditas said, "We have made a mistake." Tuwo Rajahasti and others, although they wanted to request, said, "We have been insulted, so we dare not request." There, the incarnate Garab Dorje and Hevajra and others discussed confessing. Some prostrated and circumambulated, and some shed tears constantly. Manjushrimitra prostrated and shed tears, intending to cut off his own tongue to confess. The incarnate Garab Dorje knew this and spoke these words in the voice of Brahma: "Emaho! Equality is free from bias, spontaneously perfect great bliss. All dharmas are in the essence of Bodhicitta. The six realms of beings are bound by clinging to duality. Heretics cling to nihilistic and eternalistic wrong views. Practitioners of the eight vehicles cling to the duality of right and wrong. They crave bias and cling to their own realm. They divide the meaning of equality into bias and factions. They seek outside for what they already possess within themselves. They strive to accept spontaneous bliss. When will they see the time when their own mind becomes Buddha? Not realizing equality, they crave biased views. Thinking this is it, they are exhausted, pitiful and regrettable. Therefore, for the cage of clinging to bias, enter the path of equality free from bias and bliss." After saying this, he said to the one who had attained the heart essence, "Cutting off your tongue will not eliminate your sins. Compose a superior Dharma that transcends the Dharma of cause and effect, and that will eliminate your sins." He said this. There, those who did not have karma and fortune left. Manjushrimitra understood in an instant just by being shown the signs. There, although he understood, in order to perfect the teachings, he bestowed the empowerment of universal pouring. He entrusted all the tantras and instructions, such as the Twenty Thousand Verses of the Ninefold Collection, and named him Manjushrimitra. There, Garab Dorje said in the voice of Brahma in essence, "The nature of mind is inherently Buddha." He taught this. There, Manjushrimitra understood the meaning of what he had realized. After perfecting the essence of the teachings, he proclaimed his realization: "I am Manjushrimitra, I have attained the accomplishment of the slayer of Yama, I have realized the great equality of samsara and nirvana, and I have become the all-knowing one.
