One will be able to meet the Buddhas and hear the supreme Mahayana from them, develop devotion and be endowed with intelligence, and quickly attain the two gates and Bodhi (enlightenment). To all the embodiments, the complete Buddha who possesses the thirty-two excellent marks, I pay homage to all the famous Victors! The place where the complete Buddha was born, the place where he touched Bodhi, the place where he turned the wheel of peace, and the place of stainless Nirvana. The place where the Sugata (Buddha) resides, the places of walking and standing, and the place where he sleeps like a lion, I pay homage to those places! Above, below, and in between, and in all directions and corners, to the stupas (reliquary mounds) with and without form, I pay homage! The noble Buddha with two feet, residing in the eastern and northern directions, called 'The Victor Difficult to Rely On,' therefore spoke this verse. Whoever praises the Tathagata (Buddha) with these four verses, will not go to the lower realms for millions of kalpas (eons). The four verses are thus completed. Furthermore, if one wishes to recite the Sutra of the Three Aggregates, it can be recited here: The noble Buddha with two feet, the Buddha with a compassionate heart. I request the Buddhas residing in the ten directions to listen to me! All the sinful deeds I have committed in the past, all the extremely terrible actions, I confess all of them before the one with the ten powers. The arrogance arising from pride in age, lineage, wealth, and the pride of youth. Whatever sins I have committed, sins committed because I did not see the faults of wrongdoing. Sins committed through sinful thoughts and evil speech, whatever sins I have committed. Due to a child-like mind, the darkness of ignorance, and being influenced by sinful friends. Due to the disturbance of afflictive emotions, and the habit of enjoying play, and the influence of sorrow and illness. Due to the fault of insatiable greed, whatever sins I have committed. Association with non-holy individuals, the root of jealousy and stinginess, and the faults of deceit and poverty. Whatever sins I have committed, in times of poverty and decline, the fear of desires, and becoming not wealthy. Whatever sins I have committed, due to the influence of a deceitful mind, and the influence of desire and anger, and being afflicted by hunger and thirst. Whatever sins I have committed, for the sake of food and drink, for women, wealth, and clothing. Due to various torments of afflictive emotions, whatever sins I have committed. Sins of body, speech, and mind, the three types of misdeeds accumulated, all that has been done in this way. All of these I confess. To the Buddhas and the Dharma, and also to the Shravakas. Whatever has not been respected, all of these I confess. And to the Pratyekabuddhas and Bodhisattvas. Whatever has not been respected, all of these I confess. And to the teachers of the Dharma. Whatever has not been respected, and the Dharma has not been respected, all of these I confess. Due to my long-standing ignorance, I have abandoned the sacred Dharma, and disrespected my parents. All of these I confess. Done through foolishness and actions, and through attachment, hatred, and ignorance, and through pride and arrogance. All of these I confess. I, in the ten directions of the world, offer to the Ten Powers. I wish that beings in the ten directions be liberated from all suffering. May countless beings abide on the ten Bhumis (grounds). Having abided on the ten Bhumis, may all become Tathagatas. Until from the ocean of suffering, all beings can be liberated.
