Therefore, if one relies on such virtuous roots, by the power of the compassion of Gyälwa Öpakmé (Amitabha Buddha), one will definitely be born in that realm, as it is the infallible nature of dependent origination. This is because among those born in that realm by the power of such virtuous roots, there may be many who, from the beginning, have not generated genuine renunciation and Bodhicitta. The first point is established because the principle of karmic results and the qualities of the Buddha are inconceivable. The second point is established because the sutras only mention remembering the Buddha, accumulating virtuous roots, and dedicating these as the cause for being born in that realm, and nothing else. Moreover, many commentators on the sutras unanimously agree that accumulating virtuous roots is permissible even without genuine experience of the paths of the Great or Small Vehicle. Therefore, the aggregates of ordinary beings born in that realm may also be Vipāka Upādāna aggregates, because they arise from the self-cause, the truth of origination. This is because when they accumulated virtuous roots in the past, their initial motivation was ignorance with self-grasping. The aggregates of these ordinary beings are also not primarily produced independently by the truth of suffering, because they are mainly the result of the accumulation of previously accumulated virtuous roots and the profound power of the compassion of Amitabha Buddha. Therefore, they have no manifestation of suffering or the suffering of change, and until they reach the stage of abandoning the Vipāka of the paths of the Great and Small Vehicle, it may be permissible to temporarily consider their aggregates as merely Vipāka-Karma Upādāna aggregates. The noble beings residing in the state of enlightenment who are born in the supreme realm of Sukhavati also possess vast qualities corresponding to the height and depth of their realization, and unless they go to other realms due to their vows, they will surely attain unsurpassed enlightenment in one lifetime of immeasurable life. Moreover, ordinary beings who are born there and have not entered the path do not need to go to other realms due to karma, but from here gradually enter the correct path corresponding to their own capacity, turning their backs on the three realms of samsara, and from then on gradually go from happiness to happiness. Considering this, it is said in the Vinaya Pitaka: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is said that all sentient beings born in that pure land (referring to Sukhavati) are definitely Bodhisattvas who have attained the right path. It is precisely because of this that being born in that pure land has complete meaning and benefit. Because all sentient beings born in that pure land, whether from the perspective of the pure land's environment or the blessings of sentient beings, possess the conducive conditions to greatly increase the practice of virtuous Dharma, growing as if competing with each other. However, in that pure land, no defiled things that would become the cause of afflictions will arise. Because, whether the beings born there are noble or lowly, due to their respective accumulated merits from the past and the compassionate blessings of the Tathāgata, the power of afflictions is very weak, while the arising of virtuous thoughts such as faith is easy, and they are rapidly increasing every moment. In addition, the root of that pure land—the Jina and the two main Bodhisattvas—will fully transmit vast teachings and instructions according to the different beings' capacities, wishes, and interests. The other retinues in Sukhavati, such as Bodhisattvas and Shravakas, also spend their time only discussing the sacred Dharma, and there will never be any words of hatred, or even the slightest speech belonging to idle chatter. Moreover, from the birds, lakes, trees, etc., emanated by the Tathāgata, limitless Dharmas that accord with the capacities and wishes of the sentient beings residing there will appear. In short, there are only favorable conditions for increasing virtue, and no defiled things that would become the cause of greed and hatred. Someone might raise the question: 'The environment of Sukhavati is so beautiful, then, aren't these beautiful things the truth of suffering (duhkha-satya)? Because they are not pure causes.' If this is admitted, then, aren't these things produced by the truth of origin (samudaya-satya)? If this is also admitted, then, isn't the production of these things completely without the truth of origin (samudaya-satya) as a cause? If this is still insisted, then, aren't these things the result of ordinary beings born in that pure land? Because in the cause of their results, there exists the truth of origin (samudaya-satya).' If we briefly explain from the perspective of easy understanding, generally speaking, the environment and sentient beings of this pure land are all things of karmic result. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
