At that time, the aspect of attaining Buddhahood was manifested. At that time, seven Tala trees rose high into the sky, proclaiming words of greatness. The gods made offerings, and for seven sets of seven days, first he sat in the lotus position under the Bodhi tree. Second, he gazed without blinking. Third, he walked in the three thousand great thousand worlds. Fourth, he walked in the eastern and western seas. Fifth, he resided in the place of the Nagas. Sixth, he resided under the Nyagrodha tree. Seventh, he resided in the garden of the Dol tree. Thereafter, Brahma and Indra requested him to teach the Dharma. In the country of Varanasi, on the fourth day of the Water-star month, for the sake of taming the beings of lower faculties, such as the five excellent monks, he turned the wheel of Dharma of the Four Noble Truths. Then, on the day of the Fish in the Black Water Sheep year, on Vulture Peak Mountain, for the disciples of the common Mahayana, he taught the Prajnaparamita Sutra. At the same time, at the Auspicious Rice Heap Stupa, for the disciples of the uncommon Mantrayana, at the request of Dharma King Moon Good (Zla-bzang), he compiled the twelve thousand verses of the Root Tantra of the Kalachakra, bound by rhythmic Sanskrit verses. The Teacher himself manifested the mandala of the Dharma-dhatu speech empowerment above, under the constellation mandala, and perfectly taught the scripture known as the Kalachakra Root Tantra. Within this, he first taught the pure system of astrology of the siddhas. Then, Moon Good's son, Deva-in-power (Lha-dbang), ascended the Dharma throne of northern Shambhala in the year this tantra was taught. Moon Good himself, in this year and the following Wood Monkey year, compiled the Root Tantra and composed the great commentary of sixty thousand verses, extensively propagating the essential points of astrology taught in the Root Tantra. Thereafter, in succession, on the Dharma throne of northern Kalapa, there were Dharma King Possessing Splendor Moon Gift (Gzi-brjid-can Zla-ba'i-byin), Deva-in-power, Various Form Deva, Possessors of Divine Power, each residing for a hundred years, and they propagated and expanded the meaning of the Root Tantra and its commentaries, as well as the system of outer Kalachakra astrology. Then, in the garden of Malaya, at the eastern gate of the Kalachakra self-arisen mandala previously built by Moon Good, in the Water Sheep year, the first Kalki (Rigs-ldan) Manjushrikirti (Jam-dpal-grags-pa) ascended the Dharma throne, and at the request of Sun Hidden (Nyi-ma'i-shing-rta) and others, he spoke the Abridged Kalachakra Tantra, consisting of one thousand and thirty verses, in rhythmic Sanskrit verses. Within this tantra, he well explained the system of action astrology, and because he gathered all four castes into one Vajra caste, he is known as Kalki.
