Marpo said: Adorned with a majestic rhino hide armor, I praise the wish-fulfilling jewel helmet. A Le-gan silk ribbon binds the hair knot, A majestic tiger is the banner, Fame and power hold a spear banner on the right. I praise you, who control the three realms! The mongoose brings down the needed rain, The left hand holds a hooking iron hook. In the radiating red light, I praise you, who joyfully attract! Lord of precious treasures and enjoyments, Ruling the four continents and subcontinents. Gods, dragons, humans, and non-humans, Dominating all sentient beings of the three realms. I pray to you with devotion, Please accept this offering and praise, And send forth emanated messengers to act. May you fulfill my wishes as desired! From now until enlightenment, May you not abandon and always protect, Gather all beings under your power, Grant all desired accomplishments! May the teachers and all patrons, Have abundant crops, food, and clothing, May the best herds, horses, and yaks, May all four-legged animals increase. May the family and retinue flourish, Eliminate hunger, thirst, and famine, Drive away epidemics and suffering, Subdue enemies and obstacles. O! You are the hero who triumphs over all, I prostrate to you - the commander, the king! Your power and might are inexhaustible, pervading the ten directions. You display the power of subduing, taming the difficult to tame, For those who recklessly hate the Dharma, You destroy their demonic armies, I prostrate to you! With wrathful compassion, you take the lives of hundreds of thousands of enemies, your fangs are sharp like a crescent moon. Your eyes are round and furious, your tongue flashes like lightning, You recite secret mantras, like thunder, I prostrate to you! You possess the joyful dance of perfect two accumulations (accumulation of merit and accumulation of wisdom), You are without desire and pride, swift and fierce. You burn the root of sins with the fire of wisdom, Completely destroy the lives of enemies, I prostrate to you! Vajradhara urges you to accumulate treasures with command, Therefore, urges you in order to subdue the untamed. Your retinue, yakshas as numerous as dust particles fill the sky, Immediately take the hearts of enemies, I prostrate to you! Whoever makes offerings to you, offers you essence, You will grant all the siddhis (accomplishments) of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating, And protect all practitioners like a loving mother, I prostrate to you - the Dharma protector king! You are the lord of the yaksha warriors who protect the Dharma, Merely holding the terrifying red spear. Here, praising your merits, like the tongue of burning meteoric iron. After praising in these ways, then begin to request activities: In the north of Mount Meru, In the palace adorned with precious jewels, Lives the yaksha king - the one with an ugly body, His color is red like a ruby (Padmaraga). He wears a leather helmet, leather armor, and leather boots, Fearless and full of dignity, riding on an enemy. His eyes are round and furious, his fangs are bared, Silk ornaments flutter on his head. His right hand grants the victory banner of accomplishments, His left hand holds a leather spear that extracts the hearts of those who break their vows. His left hand also holds a bag of mongoose, And a burning iron hook that controls everything. Together with your retinue, the time has come for you to fulfill your vows! Please accomplish all activities, Your four excellent sons and four executioners, The eldest son is named Jambhala, He is the one who transforms into the king of demons. Wearing wide leather armor, Holding a red leather spear in his hand. Please cut off the red life force of the enemies! Rahula, the chief of the Eight Classes of Gods and Demons, Possessing fangs that terrify the world. Holding a bow and arrow with the Makara (sea monster) as the banner, Please quickly kill the enemies of the Dharma! Kubera, the yaksha who subdues demons, Wearing a thick cloak as black as clouds. Holding a red leather spear in his hand, Please quickly kill the enemies of the Dharma! The black messenger of time, the executioner of life, His form is wrathful and extremely terrifying.
