Thereafter, Chosrje (法主) mentioned, after taking refuge, to practice the four immeasurables, which is a vast ritual. The method is as follows: Visualize oneself and all sentient beings taking refuge in the refuge field that pervades the sky. Recite: 'I and all sentient beings in the three realms, as boundless as the sky, from now until the attainment of Bodhi, take refuge in the glorious and venerable Lamas.' 'I take refuge in the perfectly enlightened Bhagavan (世尊). I take refuge in the sacred Dharma. I take refuge in the noble Sangha.' Recite three, seven, or twenty-one times, etc. 'I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha until enlightenment. By the merits of generosity and other virtues, may I achieve Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings.' Recite three times, generating Bodhicitta. 'May all sentient beings have happiness and the causes of happiness; may all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering; may all sentient beings never be separated from the happiness without suffering; may all sentient beings abide in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion to relatives and strangers.' Practice the four immeasurables in this way. Although Chosrje did not mention radiating light and inviting, the writings of Rmochen mention radiating light and inviting the assembly field, which is very appropriate and relevant. The method is as follows: From one's heart, radiate light, and invite the Lamas, Buddhas, and their retinues, (oṃ vajra samājaḥ,嗡 班杂 萨玛 扎,oṃ vajra samājaḥ,嗡,金刚,集合, 扎:感叹词) invite all remaining sentient beings and their pure retinues. Request the root Lama, lineage Lama, Yidam, Buddha, Bodhisattva, Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha, Dharma protectors, Yakshas, wealth deities, and all assemblies to come as if seen with one's own eyes, and abide on the precious throne and lotus moon cushion in front. This prose is a slight expansion of Chosrje's teachings, which is not contradictory, as it is consistent with the verses of homage that will appear below. After inviting in this way, in the homage section, Jetsun (rje btsun) mentioned paying homage to the Lama, Yidam, Buddha, and Bodhisattva. Chosrje mentioned Shravakas after the wealth deity, and also paid homage to some Lamas. But here, the vast homage consistent with Jetsun's teachings is: paying homage to all objects, reciting: 'The embodiment of all Buddhas, the nature of Vajradhara, the root of the Three Jewels, I prostrate to the Lamas. The Lama's body is the Vajra body,' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mind and view cannot be satisfied, possessing inconceivable merits, I prostrate to the body of the Lama. The Lama's speech is the voice of Brahma, possessing the unobstructed roar of a lion, destroying heretical wrong views, I prostrate to the speech of the Lama. The Lama's mind is like the sky, possessing the state of bliss-clarity-non-thought, well abiding in the three liberations, I prostrate to the mind of the Lama. The Lama is the Buddha, the Lama is the Dharma, likewise, the Lama is the Sangha, the creator of all is the Lama, I prostrate to all the Lamas. Thus, I prostrate to the root Lama. To all the scholars and accomplished ones of Jambudvipa (the continent where we live, often referring to the human realm), who clearly illuminate the doctrine of Shakyamuni (the historical Buddha) in accordance with the scriptures, tantras, instructions, and sciences, I always respectfully prostrate. To all the upholders of the doctrine in the Land of Snows (Tibet), who illuminated the Buddha's teachings like the sunlight in the dark abyss of the north, I prostrate with one-pointed devotion. To the Sakya (a school of Tibetan Buddhism) masters, the lords who wield power over the complete kingdom of the doctrine, to the wise and accomplished fathers, sons, and disciples, I prostrate in remembrance of their kindness. Thus, to the general and specific lineage Lamas, and from the writings of the Dharma Lord (a high-ranking lama): Establishing the lifeline of the teachings in Jambudvipa, kindling the lamp of Dharma in the Land of Snows, the chief of the saffron-robed sons of Shakya (the Buddha), I prostrate to the great Abbot Shantarakshita (a key figure in establishing Buddhism in Tibet). Abandoning self-interest and dedicating himself to the benefit of others, he is the glory of the beings of the snowy mountains, whether directly or indirectly benefiting others, I prostrate to the glorious Atisha (an influential Buddhist teacher). Although there are many wonders in this great land, in India, Kashmir, China, Nepal, Tibet, wherever there is no equal Dharma Lord, the lamp of Jambudvipa, I prostrate to you. To tame the various beings to be tamed, manifesting wrathful, desirous, seductive, and peaceful forms, bestowing the two siddhis (spiritual powers or attainments), I prostrate to the mandala deities of the four tantras. Prostration to the general Yidam (personal deity). Protector, possessing great compassion, the all-knowing teacher, the field of merit and qualities like the ocean, I prostrate to the Thus Gone One (Tathagata, a title of the Buddha). With purity, the cause of detachment from desire, with virtue, liberating from the bad migrations, the one ultimate supreme truth, I prostrate to the peaceful Dharma. Having liberated, also showing the path of liberation, greatly respecting the trainings, the holy field, the field of qualities, I also prostrate to the Sangha. Supreme teacher, precious Buddha, supreme protector, precious Dharma, supreme guide, precious Sangha, to the supreme Three Jewels... The Dharmakaya (the body of truth or essence of the Buddha) is inseparable like the sky... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
