What do I need Dharma for? Because there are immeasurable faults like that here, Believing beings should understand it well. Therefore, for the Dharma to go on the path, It depends on a virtuous friend in the beginning, Therefore, it is important to rely on a qualified and holy Lama. From that, many virtues of goodness arise. That is also skillful and has the nature of great compassion, Peaceful and gentle, endowed with patience, Vinaya and vows, conduct are perfect, Extensively learned and well-trained. Immeasurable blessings, the appearance of others naturally changes, This life is not mixed, the eight worldly dharmas are like the sky. Connections are meaningful, establishing the path to liberation, This is the emanation of the Victorious One in the degenerate age, It should be relied upon with great respect. From that, immeasurable and inexhaustible benefits arise, Be weary of existence, and have a short mind of renunciation. Give up this life, destroy the illusion of self-grasping. Naturally gentle, endowed with hearing, thinking, and meditation. Endowed with the qualities of extensive training such as faith, This life is meaningful, and the next life has results. Therefore, one should rely on the holy ones. That is also because one's own three doors are without hypocrisy, Like a patient relying on a doctor, a merchant relying on a leader, A boatman relying on a helmsman, a guest relying on a guide, Always please the teacher with respectful service. If a mind of disbelief and wrong view arises, It is said that one will enter the lower realms as many times as there are moments. Therefore, with great confession, vows, and repentance, Strive to protect the vows like your eyes. Having relied on the holy spiritual friend in this way, Having trained one's own mind stream through hearing, thinking, and meditation, With the intention of only wanting liberation, Transforming whatever one does into a desire for virtue, This is the instruction for the Dharma to go on the path. Even when listening, thinking, and reciting, Do it for the sake of liberating your own mind stream, Even when writing, reading, holding, and explaining, It should be done with the intention of only wanting liberation. Even when meditating, viewing, and practicing, Without separating from the mind of only wanting liberation, Strive with strong renunciation and weariness. There is no higher heart instruction than this. Eating, sleeping, going, staying, speaking, thinking, and so on, In short, whatever you do, Without separating from the mind of wanting liberation, Generate weariness and tame your mind stream. This is the key to the holy Dharma going on the path, Especially the method for the Great Vehicle to go on the path, Any virtue

You aim for the benefit of others, generate Bodhicitta with compassion, and dedicate your own pure land with devotion. Completely accomplish for the sake of sentient beings. Thus, all beings are my parents, relatives and kin are the fields of benefit. I also generate Bodhicitta for the benefit of others, and perform virtuous deeds for the benefit of sentient beings. May my virtue bring happiness to sentient beings, may their suffering ripen upon me, may my virtue ripen upon sentient beings, and may all sentient beings attain Buddhahood. Thinking thus, cultivate the Bodhicitta of immeasurable compassion. All virtuous deeds are accomplished with the preliminary Bodhicitta, the main practice of non-discrimination, and the subsequent dedication. That is also the complete purification of the three wheels, the object to be purified, the means of purification, and the purifier, like an illusion, unreal, merely a manifestation of appearance. With self-nature purity, dedicate for the benefit of others. Devoutly believe in the Buddhas and the Dharma of the Buddhas, as well as the holy Bodhisattvas and the fields of merit, having deep faith in everything. From the devotion of self-interest, dual-interest, and other-interest, obtain unparalleled praise, respect, and admiration. Rejoice in the Buddhas and their sons and all sentient beings, cultivate the joy of all virtuous deeds. This is an immeasurable accumulation of merit, a supreme method of transforming into immeasurable greatness. Make pure aspirations for the benefit of sentient beings, cultivate the essential instructions of pure conduct. Do not let a moment's thought be lost in the ordinary, perform virtuous deeds with the three doors of body, speech, and mind, with altruism as the core. Subduing one's own mind, possessing the supreme Bodhicitta, this is what is called integrating Dharma into the path. Thus, the sound of the profound and wondrous drum, the deep and vast sound, the beautiful reputation, thoroughly awakens the beings sleeping in ignorance, may we widely see the peaceful feast of joy. In the Garland of Four Precious Dharmas, the chapter on integrating Dharma into the path is the second. Then, dispelling the errors of the path, from the common, the special, and the unsurpassed, first is the common Great Vehicle path, the master of immeasurable Bodhicitta, aspirations, and compassion, dispelling errors with great conduct, possessing the essence of emptiness and compassion, both self and other benefits can be fully accomplished, therefore, the Dharma realm's virtue is unconditioned Dharma, in order to thoroughly purify the sudden defilements, in the four paths of accumulation, preparation, seeing, and cultivation.
