Wisdom. Slightly obtaining appearance can become the antidote to clinging to reality. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "From then on, becoming such, the Bodhisattva enters into equipoise, and apart from the expression of mind, all things are not seen." The increase of the peak appearance is to increase the appearance of the Dharma itself, and by diligently meditating on selflessness, one can obtain the intermediate of the worldly meditative appearance. As it says in the same text: "In order to increase the appearance of the Dharma, one constantly practices with steadfast diligence." The patience that enters into one aspect of Suchness is the perfection of the worldly meditative appearance that abides in Mind-Only, and it can become the antidote to clinging to external objects as real. As it says in the same text: "After the appearance of the Dharma has increased, it will abide in Mind-Only. From then on, the appearance of all things will appear most excellently as mind. At that time, with its grasped object, it will abandon that distraction. From then on, with its grasper, it will only gather distraction." The supreme Dharma immediately following that is the perfection of the worldly meditative appearance without the distraction of clinging to reality, and there is no interruption with the Mahayana Path of Seeing. As it says in the same text: "At that time, one will quickly touch the uninterrupted Samadhi." Among them, the heat and peak positions are small, and they are the paths of joining where the time of the arising of the Path of Seeing is uncertain. Patience is intermediate, and it is the path of joining that is certain to arise in the next life. The supreme Dharma is great, and it is the path of joining where the Path of Seeing arises in this life. In the Four Hundred Verses, "Fourth, among the five kinds of distinguishing dharmas, the distinction of the antidote is to abandon the antidote and suppress afflictions. Generally, there are four kinds of antidotes: refuting antidote, abandoning antidote, dependent antidote, and delaying antidote." The distinction of abandonment is liberation from the seeds of obscurations and the decline of manifestation, as well as from the poverty and decline of ordinary beings. The distinction of realization is the realization of the two selflessnesses by the wisdom born of meditation. The distinction of qualities is having many qualities such as samadhi, divine eye, clairvoyance, and miraculous powers. The distinction of being superior to the path of accumulation is that the path of great accumulation becomes born of meditation.

Furthermore, there are differences in the proximity of the path of seeing and the stability of the warmth of wisdom. The Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verses states, "If there are no obstacles, the path of seeing will arise very quickly." This should be understood as corresponding to the part of liberation, and it is the difference here. Third, regarding the path of seeing, there are also two aspects: the basis and the nature. The basis is any of the five realms that serve as the basis for the bodies of the two. As stated in the Sutra Requested by Sagacious Mati, "Among the sons of gods who dwell in the desire and form realms, ninety-six kotis have arisen to the Dharma without the dust of the Dharma-eye, stainless and perfectly pure." And so on. Among them, "without the dust of the Dharma-eye" means obtaining the path of seeing, and "perfectly pure" refers to the wisdom of the eighth ground. The basis of thought is the fourth dhyana. The nature has three aspects: cause, result, and essence. The cause is the Great Vehicle's accumulation and preparation paths. The result is the path of meditation and the path of no more learning. The essence has four aspects: definition, example, classification, and characteristics. The definition is: the Dharma-patience, Dharma-knowledge, subsequent-patience, and subsequent-knowledge of the Great Vehicle, along with their retinue, are the definition. It can be expressed as the term for the Great Vehicle's path of seeing. It refers to what arises after the completion of the Great Vehicle's preparation path, is included in the Great Vehicle's virtuous qualities, and becomes the cause for the first moment of the Great Vehicle's supramundane path of meditation to arise in the mindstream. The example is: for each of the four noble truths of suffering, origin, cessation, and path, there are four types: Dharma-knowledge-patience, Dharma-knowledge, subsequent-knowledge-patience, and subsequent-knowledge, totaling sixteen with their retinue. Or, from the perspective of the grounds, it is the first ground, the Joyful Ground. As stated in the Ornament of Clear Realization, "In the truths such as suffering, Dharma-knowledge and subsequent-knowledge, Patience and knowledge are sixteen moments." Among them, when supramundane wisdom is first attained, a great joy is obtained that is superior to before, and therefore it is called the Joyful Ground. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras, "Also near to enlightenment, Seeing the meaning of beings accomplished, Great joy arises, Therefore it is called Joyful." The classification is: with the order of the four truths, they are those with the nature of sixteen moments.
