By prolonging, one constantly abides in a state of non-conceptualization, eliminates obstacles of the gathering of violent winds, and prevents the occurrence of unpleasant food and drink, etc. This is extremely profound, so one should diligently practice it. Secondly, the yoga of effort has three parts: preliminary tummo, the actual yoga, and subsequently transcending into the state of clear light. First, the key to the body is the lotus posture, the key to the object is to visualize a short A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཐུང༌།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A) at the navel chakra within the central channel, its essence is fire, its form is A (Tibetan: ཨ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A), the sensation is from extremely hot to like a burning fire, with the essence of the dissolving Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) at the crown chakra serving as fuel for the fire, burning fiercely, with the heat of the fire pervading the four chakras, abiding in this state, warming the blood and elements, and generating bliss. The body does not need clothes, and whatever is seen appears warm. The actual practice is, on the basis of clarifying the three channels and four chakras, from the single channel, the white and red bindus enter the central channel, momentarily generating bliss. At the lower end, the red bindu gathers at the A (Tibetan: ཨ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A), and at the upper end, the white bindu gathers at the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), merging at the heart, becoming one, and then again meditating on the bindus descending from it, mixing and pervading the four chakras, abiding in the state of bliss itself. Occasionally, one should also do the upper retention gradually descending, the lower retention reversing, and dispersing into the channels. This generates unbearable bliss. Afterwards, at the heart, the A Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अहं, Sanskrit Romanization: ahaṃ, Literal meaning: A, Hūṃ) merges into one, and is further contracted, transforming into a blue E (Tibetan: ཨེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ए, Sanskrit Romanization: e, Literal meaning: E), and then becoming increasingly subtle, abiding in a state of non-attention. At this time, it is said to be hiding the bindu in the channels, hiding the conceptual thoughts in the state of dharmata, hiding the bliss in the state of clear light, and hiding the clear light in the state of non-grasping. No matter how one practices the bliss of the bindu, this key is crucial. Without this, there is no time to touch the path to liberation and enlightenment. Therefore, one should learn not to transcend the state of clear light, which is without any effort or fabrication. In other paths, relying on the bliss of the consort to descend the bindu, the four joys of the upward retention, and holding and rotating in the vajra vase, being drawn by the consort, the four joys of the downward retention of reversing upwards when the two are mixed into one, and dispersing into the channels, and transcending into great wisdom, etc., are all gathered in this method, among which, the final meditation on clear light is supreme.

Profound is the earth. The third meaning is the yoga of clear light Mahamudra, which arises from the methods of the two vital energies, namely: at the time of breathing, the mind is clear and non-conceptual, or at the time of exertion, there is bliss and non-conceptuality, either way is the same. At that time, the bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality of awareness are experiences, and the essence is emptiness, clarity, not established anywhere, self-arisen without fabrication, relaxed, open, clear, bliss without conceptuality, clarity without grasping, awareness without continuity, not distracted by objects, not clinging to the mind, transcending the phenomena of what is to be meditated upon and the meditator, constantly meditate without being distracted by grasping. The Doha says, "Water and fire, abide in self-luminosity alone." Toktsepa said, "Liberated from what is to be meditated upon and the meditator, without mind, Mahamudra." Birwapa said, "What is meditated upon by the mind is not meditation, not meditating is also not meditation, transcending meditation and non-meditation, without mind, Mahamudra." The Pramanavarttika says, "Having gathered the mind from all things, in the inner self without wavering, even when abiding, the mind that sees forms with the eyes is born of the senses." The Ornament of Wisdom Light says, "If not examined by complete conceptualization, the mind that does not abide at all, without memory and without attention, I prostrate to that which has no object." The Mother Sutra says, "Subhuti, the Prajnaparamita is without memory and without attention, therefore it is like space." The Condensed Sutra says, "No place is the place, this is said by the Victorious One as the place, where does space abide, understand this meaning." Like that, when meditating, also go to the top of a mountain where there is a vast appearance and meditate, without gathering the mind into one point, but expanding it, and meditate in a relaxed manner with an open attitude. Having meditated in that way, warm signs such as bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality will arise. The Sutra says, "On the nature of the unthinkable, placing the unthinkable mind, then the unthinkable experience will arise." The Mayajala Tantra says, "Completely meditating on the unsurpassed, through habituation, the warmth is immeasurable." The Pramanavarttika says, "By whom it is extremely meditated, when the meditation is completely perfected, that one
