Dharma and Dharmata merge. The end of liberation dissolves into the end of liberation, like space dissolving into space. Free from all fixated grasping, it abides in the self-nature of Dharmata. The impure gate of Samsara dissolves into the pure gate of wisdom, like a spider drawing its thread inward. It gathers into a single Bindu. The pure gate of wisdom dissolves into its essence, like a lion seizing a snow mountain, occupying the self-ground of the single, primordially pure Dharmata. These are called the appearances of spontaneously accomplished preciousness dissolving into primordial purity, which is the culmination on the ground of liberation. That, too, is the inseparability of essence, nature, and compassion from within the state of the ground, the inner sphere of primordial purity. When the compassion and light, etc., of the ground appearance dissolve, they are no longer outwardly manifest, like crystal light vanishing within. The outwardly manifest impure, deluded appearances, appearing as objects to be tamed, when compassion enters, it is the very gate of pure wisdom. When inner compassion dissolves, there is no appearance of delusion or compassion engaging with it, so the objects to be tamed and the tamers are completely purified, and so on. This is the way of liberation in the Bardo of Dharmata. Fourth, the instruction on connecting the habitual imprints in the Bardo of Existence, like setting a trap in a broken-legged ditch, is: Because one has not recognized self-appearance in the Bardo of Dharmata, one emerges on the path in the Bardo of Existence. The awareness of dreams and the appearance of deities are clear, without connection to what came before or after. Direct appearances follow after previous habitual imprints. Even though the previous body is gone, one thinks it still exists. For as long as one remains in the Bardo, the first half is the body and appearance of the previous life, the second half is the appearance of where one will be born. Awareness is seven times clearer than it is now. One goes unhindered to any place other than a mother's womb and Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya). One has the miraculous powers and clairvoyance of karma, and eyes that see the three thousand worlds at once. Because one cannot stay in one place and feels afraid, this Dharma enables those of the lowest faculties to breathe out the self-nature into a Nirmāṇakāya through the blessing of the truth of Dharmata. Those of the highest faculties remember the previous blessings, the devotion to the Lama, taking refuge in the Three Jewels, the generation stage of deities like illusion, etc., and in the future, they will be born into a family of believing parents, becoming children endowed with the eighteen leisures and endowments. From the age of twenty-five or thirty-five, etc., they will practice this Dharma.

After meeting, there is no doubt about attaining Buddhahood in this life or in the bardo. Now, cultivate devotion to the guru, refuge, and the essential instructions for transference at the time of death. That is, inside the heart, there is a five-colored drop of light the size of an egg, which is shot through the Brahma aperture with the syllable "HIK." Transference at the time of death is the supreme of the essential instructions, as explained in "Sun and Moon Union" and its explanatory tantras. This is a very important point. The third general meaning is: The essential instruction for being born in the realm of the spontaneously arisen body through final diligence and attaining Buddhahood without the bardo is: Even if one does some practice now, but is distracted by delusion and does not reach the limit, even if one sees the pure bardo of reality, one does not recognize one's own appearances. In the bardo of existence, one only takes the path with a dreamlike confusion. Because of believing in the essential instructions of manifest reality from before, by the blessing of the truth of reality, the karma of the bardo of existence is exhausted, and like waking from a dream, one is miraculously born in the realm of the spontaneously arisen body and liberated. As it says in "Self-Arisen": "By the person who sees the truth, even if realization is not born in the continuum, the spontaneously arisen realms of the ten directions, from that place, one will ultimately be liberated." So it is said. That is, the eastern direction is called Abhirati (Manifest Joy). All the ground is made of precious crystal. The crystal palace is square, with four doors and four windows. It is completely surrounded by eight streams of water with eight qualities, and eight lakes with various colors. The precious iron fence has a Dharma seat. In the four directions are silk banners, and in the four corners are stupas with bells hanging, from which the sound of Dharma arises. There, the Bhagavan Glorious Vajrasattva is surrounded by the Vajra family retinue, countless billions of Bodhisattvas, and teaches the Dharma, completely liberating the continuum of the retinue. There is no suffering from disease and pain. Desired objects arise merely by thinking of them. There, one beholds the face of Vajrasattva and his retinue and listens to the Dharma. Similarly, the southern direction is called Glorious. The realm and palace are made of gold. Abiding as before, the Bhagavan Ratnasambhava is surrounded by countless billions of the Ratna family retinue and teaches the Dharma, bestowing empowerment. Similarly, the western direction, Padma Array
