M! The three outer, inner, and secret aspects of mind are combined into nine. The four outer deeds of the body are: Relying on seeing the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death, one goes forth from home into homelessness; begging for food; competing in strength and skill, etc. Considering the inner retinue and enjoyment, defeating the four maras; sixty billion hundred thousand kotis of rays of light emanate from one's own body; the hosts of maras rain down showers of weapons, which turn into umbrellas of flowers; again abandoning the excellent horse and chariot, etc. The four secret aspects are: Considering liberation from the samadhi of action, practicing austerities for seven years on the banks of the Nairanjana River; in the great golden mountain, one hundred and twenty million samadhis arise in an instant; especially abiding constantly in the samadhi called Jewel Adornment; when the body is not visible, abiding in the vajra-like samadhi at midnight. These are the qualities of the Buddha's body. The four outer deeds of speech are: Prophecy, etc., four types; the four inner aspects are: Jataka, etc., four types; the four secret aspects are: Special praise, etc., four types. These arise from the characteristics of the collection of the characteristics of speech. The four outer aspects of mind are: The courageous going and; "Jewel Banner Peak" and; the samadhi of completely playing and; the Buddha Jewel Adornment samadhi. The four inner aspects are: Entering all realms and; especially appearing and; the crest jewel and; the samadhi of completely arranging the victorious banner peak. The four secret aspects are: The flowing completely pure and; the profound appearing and; the jewel lamp and; the samadhi of supremely excellent declaration. The necessity of these is: If there are no twelve deeds of the body, the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks cannot mature; if there is no speech, one cannot enjoy the formless dharma; if there is no mind, one cannot obtain mastery over the samadhis. Moreover, if there is no abiding samadhi, it is never possible to increase into the wisdom of omniscience. Thus, the determination as twelve is:

The necessity of the body is that the four elements are bound by earth, and cannot be liberated from holding the power in their own continuum. Similarly, being bound by water, fire, and wind, one cannot be liberated from holding the breath in one's own continuum. The four inner ones are: the teaching of the earth element is destroyed, the scattered earth merges into its source, and the balance of the earth produces beings. Likewise, the remaining three should also be known. The four secret ones are: the grossness of the body is exhausted, the expression of speech is purified, the movement of mind is purified, and the conceptualization of thought is purified. The four outer ones of speech are: the demon of the aggregates is purified because it is not a form, the demon of afflictions is purified because there is no desire and no self-grasping, the demon of the son of the gods is purified because there is no attachment or clinging, and the demon of the Lord of Death is purified because the nature of reality is unborn. The four inner ones are: the discipline is completely purified because body, speech, and mind are not fabricated, the Sutra Pitaka is completely purified because it is inexpressible, the Abhidharma is completely purified because the mind is clear in its own ground, and the Dharma treasury of the Vidyadharas is completely purified because it arises in all directions. The four secret ones are: liberation from the world because the ultimate limit is completely purified, abiding in the meaning of selflessness because the Tirthikas are completely purified, the manifestation of the fruit because the ordinary is completely purified, and belief in the law of cause and effect because the nihilists are completely purified. The secret ones are: the three bodies reach their limit because wrong views are purified, the union of shamatha and vipashyana because wrong meditation is purified, the path is complete with the right path because wrong conduct is purified, and the three bodies appear on the path because wrong results are purified. The four outer ones of mind are: because the naked ones who hold inverted views on the ground are completely purified, the ground abides in original liberation; because the nihilists who hold inverted views on the path are completely purified, the unmade is naturally liberated; because the Samkhyas who hold inverted views on appearance are completely purified, nakedly placed, nakedly liberated; because the secret Vedic practitioners who hold inverted views on the result are purified, self-appearance is completely liberated. The inner ones are: because attachment to food is severed, there is no self in the food of morsels; because attachment to clothing is severed, one practices in the session of naked meditation; because attachment to dreams is severed, one practices in the session of exhausting the limits of karmic imprints; because attachment to karmic imprints is severed, the limits of actions and ripening are exhausted. The secret ones are: because appearance is known as self-appearing, self-liberated, one obtains the fruit of the Nirmanakaya; movement
