Thinking of them as the supreme children of all beings, protect and help them. After death, they will undoubtedly become the sons of the Sugatas. After praying in this way, the male and female yogis who came from the ten directions prostrated to Vajrasattva a thousand times and prayed as follows: Bhagavan Vajrasattva, the essence of the hearts of all Sugatas, please bestow the hundred-syllable mantra that purifies all transgressions and conceptual obscurations. How wonderful! Alala Ho! Samantabhadra spoke to Vajrasattva: Vajrasattva, for the sake of the yogis who have entered the door of your secret mantra, it is excellent to explain the hundred-syllable mantra, which is the method of purifying transgressions and conceptual obscurations! Therefore, if any yogi makes a vow to recite it as a yidam, then that person will be regarded as the supreme child of all Buddhas of the past, present, and future in this life, and will be protected and helped. After death, he will undoubtedly become the supreme child of the Sugatas. Benefit all yogis, all transgressions and conceptual obscurations, called the Hundred Syllable Mantra, called the King of Confessions, excellent! Excellent! Thus, there are many ways to practice the Hundred Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva, which is praised in the common and individual tantras. Here, the essence is condensed into the Yoga Essence, which is the five stages of outer, inner, secret, very secret, and primordial purity. Among them, the first is to practice by generally meditating according to the Outer Action Tantra: bringing all limitless, space-like sentient beings into one's heart, thinking that they and I together sincerely take refuge in the Three Jewels. And also above the crown of the head, visualize each Vajrasattva abiding, thinking that they are purifying my sins, karmic obscurations, and sufferings. At the beginning and end of each session, strike the instrument. In the main practice, in the space above the crown of one's own body as it normally abides, visualize a throne made of various jewels, which is extremely magnificent, with three steps, eight chair legs, decorated with vajras, jewels, lotuses, swords, and various vajras. Above are three layers of cushions, the top layer slightly raised,

Magnificent and majestic. On the surface of the throne is the image of a thousand-spoked wheel, and below shines the image of a thousand-petaled lotus. Between the legs of the throne, in the manner of supporting the throne, are the eight great close bodhisattva sons, transformed into six-tusked white elephants, with their tails inward and faces outward, their color ash-white, and from their foreheads to the tips of their noses, they are red like vermillion or Indragopa. They are adorned with various precious jewels and golden nets covering their bodies. On the crowns of these elephants reside wish-fulfilling jewels, the embodiment of the Wish-Granting King, accomplished through the power of past aspirations and immeasurable great compassion, whose essence is the Tathāgata, the lord of their respective families, adorned with the radiance of infinite light. On the throne supported by the eight elephants, covered with a thousand-petaled white lotus, in the center is a cushion of the fully radiant sun and moon, upon which resides the white syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum), transformed from the non-dual wisdom of all Buddhas. From this syllable emanates the primordial Lord, the Supreme Blissful One, Vajrasattva, whose body is whiter than white, surpassing the brilliance of a hundred thousand autumn moons. He has one face, peaceful and smiling, and two hands. His right hand holds a five-pronged vajra at his heart, and his left hand holds a bell resting on his hip. His two legs are in the vajra posture. His form is complete with all the marks and signs of perfection, adorned with silk and precious jewels, appearing as if arrayed in the garments of a Chakravartin king. In his heart, on a spotless moon disc, is a radiant white syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum). Around it, on the moon disc, the mantra garland of the Hundred Syllable Mantra is clearly inscribed, and as it is recited, light radiates from the moon, the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and the syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum). From the pores of Vajrasattva's body, especially from his face, the hair between his eyebrows, and the crown of his head, emanate immeasurable rays of light, pervading all Buddha-fields. They delight all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and noble assemblies, and from their hearts, the essence of compassion and blessings is invoked in the form of nectar. Returning from all the places of Vajrasattva's body, they dissolve into the moon, the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and the syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum) in his heart.
